Graphics Errors and Game Crashes since last Update

Hi all. I like the new vehicle a lot. However, when loading my previous savegame all planets have the default placeholder texture (the one saying "you shouldn't be seeing this"). Also the stars look weird. I have no Mod that changes the planetary textures. If I loaded the manually saved game I could not even enter my ship anymore. The airlock on the space station was just on red, even though my ship is docked.

When I wanted to load a manually saved game from when I was on a planet, the game crashed...

I am sick of this game now, can't even load any save file games, the games crashes. I have NPC's walking around with only heads and arms, no bodies.
Verify your files it might work. It fixed my npc issues, but nothing else. Only way I could fix the planetary texture issues was to delete everything and redownload.. Which At the time seemed broken too,.. I use to love this game when it came out. Got to level 146.. When the other update came out with creations My game hasn't run good since then. Game crashed too. Only thing I could do was go way back to a older save game. Back to level 130. Now can't get past 141. Not my pc, not creations, got none installed. Game its self. I think I am done with this game.

Same graphic-problems here.... only "comic-planets" in the map.....

Same here , no textures on planets . They are all greens with "swaps not occured"... Cool update ...

Yea did a file verification and textures are back. Ship is still gone though. Had to load an earlier savegame then it worked again -.-

Sounds like a mod problem. Might want to start a thread for help. Including hw specs and mod list will make things faster and easier.

Mine keeps crashing after the update, can't get more than 10 mins without a crash...Not happy. No mods installed.

I had the "swaps not occurred" graphic bug on the planets when I first ran the game, but simply running it a second time fixed it.

and you think you have problems... I am just about to go starborn +20 something times, and I head back to the lodge, the gang is waiting for me, after a brief chat with everybody, I always like to take take the ladies for one more spin in my big ship...

Andreja starts shouting at me.. telling me to go back to Vectera and get Barrett.. so I never argue with a lady, back to the start of the game, and theres' Barrett waiting for me.. so i am finishing the game back at the start..... headscratching... AND NOT TO MENTION THE DAMN BUGGY IS NOT WORKING FOR ME... have fun in the Starfield.

Be careful with the number of mods you throw at this game. Do not add 100 mods and expect everything to magically work. And read everything on each mod page.

And if you're not running mods then start with the basics before you start changing everything you can get your hands on. So if you can't launch your game first try rebooting your PC. Many issues can be fixed with a file verification. Clear your shader cache for this game. Make sure your graphic drivers are up to date.

Do not let OneDrive take over your saves folder as it's a known issue so make sure it's off. Steam's Could saves cause issues so turn that off and just remember to save often in game.

Finally if push comes to shove then perform a True Clean Reinstall of Starfield

i was baffled by this bug, came back to the game after a year, start a new character and.. erm yeah we all know what happened.

i verified the files, reloaded and this seems to have fixed the issue thankfully, not sure if there are any other solutions if this doesnt work

Same problem. Nothing helps. Neither exiting the game and re-loading, nor checking file integrity. Even reinstalling the game. Nothing. Planets stubbornly have strange colors. It doesn't affect the gameplay, but it is VERY irritating.

Try the True Clean Reinstall that I linked a couple of posts above. But follow everything to the letter and once completed when you launch your game start a new game, do not use your old saves.

The only thing that helped: deleting all game saves, restarting the computer, verifying the integrity of the game files, starting the game from the beginning.

I don't need to tell you how much this discouraged me.
