Worth it for better mod Support
As a Game Pass subscriber, is it worth it to get the game on Steam? As far as I know the important Starfield Script Extender (SFSE) is incompatible with Windows Store version of the game due to the way Microsoft encrypts the files of apps sold through the store. Is having better access to mods worth spending $48 + tax, when I have access to the game for "free" through Game Pass?

That depends on what type of mods are worth it for you. I would suggest browsing the mods on the Nexus site to see if any of them pique your interest enough to make purchasing Starfield on Steam worth it.

As a mod user myself I certainly think so.

Plus they are coming out with new mods every day and lately some more gems. No doubt there will be plenty more coming.

There are two reasons I bought on Steam, 1) for SFSE and 2) I prefer single source gaming.

I mainly was concerned with the sale going on last night. Not going to pay $70 bucks when I'm not going to play the game immediately and not in the mood to set up SFSE and mod support.

I'm sure you won't have long to wait, we've got Halloween and Black Friday coming up after September.
