Can't pay off bounties at Self-Service Bounty Clearance Kiosk
Hello, it's me again. Been playing for the last 3 days in Starfield to earn 316,859 credits for the bounty I owe to the United Colonies.

I currently have 333,646 credits and when I click on it to pay I get message telling me I don't have enough credits to clear my criminal record.

This is preventing me from going to any of the major cities and planets and I cannot progress the main missions until I can clear this bounty. I get shot on sight when I enter those systems.

Any suggestions or is my +300 hours game busted on this character now?

here: You can check the bounty a faction has on you by opening the Starmap, selecting a solar system, and looking at the top right corner of the screen. There, you will find the system's main faction and the credits on your bounty. If you do not see a number, you have no Starfield bounty in that territory.

Verify that you are in the right region maybe? and the bounty is higher maybe?

Yes, I know that, my problem is the game is telling me I do not have enough credits to pay my fine, when I do.

If all else fails, you can use "player.paycrimegold 0 0 (Faction ID)"

I think its the 10% he is missing to clear his bounty. So you need a bit more, also from what I've read, you can't be in the region of the offended party to clear it. Good Luck and let us know if it worked!

Yeah but then my achievements will be disabled, I want a legit solution other than using console commands

The amount of your bounty isn't the cost of removing it. The cost of removing it is the bounty plus extra on top as a fee. So removing the bounty costs more than the value of the bounty.

its kinda stupid not to put that info in the terminal. It should say 'Atlantis= Your bounty is 15 credits + 20 credits for Taxe purpose' or whatever....

But just saying 'You owe 15 credits' and you keep clicking and it doesn't work? Who thought that was a good idea?

Thank you, I will try and earn more i suppose? Why cant they just tell me the exact number I need to clear myself. Now it's just a big guessing game.
Well I will continue on and see what happens

the bounty kiosk that you can build or find in some towns charges you a premium.
If you can sneak up on and talk to a security guard, you can allow them to jail you and pay it off then at its bounty value instead. That is tricky, so you probably just need to pay the premium at 340k ish total cost. Shooting people in self defense while trying to pay off your bounty is still a crime and still runs up your tab.

You don't actually go to jail, its just a menu where you can pay it. If there is a rot in jail part like skyrim, I don't know, I have not used it. I don't think using the menu to pay the fine rots your xp though. I am not 100% sure. They do take all your stolen stuff and contra, if you had.
