Copits like - Kon-Tiki B-600 Bridge and - DS40.2 Ares Bridge i often use for a stacked ladder build in combo with - Ship Bed 200 Landing Bay - and a stack of companion ways. This forces the game to use a single ladder. You then put a docker module on the downside of the first companionway behind the bay and you enter both from bay and docker into the lader when you enter ship
The Cabbot C4 offers a different range and types of builds these top copits can not though.

When using a crew and making big no-ladder ships, my go-to was the Cabot C-4 bridge.
I wanted to start creating a ship, and all the 'Habs' whatever they are, are all greyed out.
And I can't freaking Tell what each piece does. (I know the basic).
I've been in the big cockpits. Walked around. Searched for the storage panels. Then on to the same sitting animation, menu, cutscene. They look cool, but after ten seconds I'm ready to move on.
I guess I like any narrow, single seat cockpit just because it's easy to get in and out of. Not much else really matters there.
It seems you missed the point of using a ship in this game. There is no need to even look at the cockpit if you do exclusively planetside activities
That one is magnicificent, shame the weapons are so bad on that ship.
