SOLVED: Bug: can't advance "The Best THere Is" CF storyline quest

Hi there! I stumbled upon a bug when doing the quest "The best there is" and I was hoping somebody could help me out:

I spoke with Huan Daiyu up to the point where she says we should meet at her ship (the Jade Swan) to depart to the UC space station. Problem is, I decided to do some other quests and when I returned to her, she seems to be stuck in The Well.

The questline marker points me towards the Jade Swan, but whenever I go, she's nowhere to be found, hanging at the terrace where you first meet her at the Well.

I have tried talking to her, even fighting her, but nothing seems to get her to move - she just keeps saying that we'll meet at her ship and that's it.

I did all the typical stuff: waiting 48, 72 hours ingame... quitting the game, reloading my savefile... did MULTIPLE other missions... nothing. Huan Daiyu won't show up at the Jade Swan.

I would rather not use console commands, as that would imply disabling achievements, getting a mod to re-enable them, etc. Maybe somebody has come across this in their playthrough and knows how to solve this in a less complicated way.

As I said in this thread: I spent hours trying to solve this problem with consoleCMD. It didn't work with the debug stages either... The best thing would be if you have a savegame that you can load before the bug occurred.
Otherwise you could try to end TheBestThereIs with completequest 21d792, but be warned, this can also go wrong.

What I can say is that I have gone through Unity many times and this bug has only occurred once so far.
I don't know what kind of player you are. But all I can say is that you don't have to play this quest to finish the game. You can play through everything again in NG+.
If you don't want to go into NG+ (Unity) at all, you can also put the game aside and start all over again in a few months or weeks.

However, if you thought that this quest bug would be solved with a patch, then I'm sorry to disappoint you. These bugs are baked into the savefile and will persist even if the game has been patched. Unfortunately, this is a bitter pill that you have to swallow from time to time as a Bethesda player. Hence the strong hint that you should make a manual save before every quest.
So go ahead and tease yourself for a few more minutes :) and then make a plan *g* hehe

I am at the exact point the OP reports. I have not yet resolved, but I'm working on it.

1. Do not attempt to advance the quest. It's not in order and you could really screw things up.
2. Do not attempt to move Huan.
3. This seems to be a conflict problem with (at least) two other quest lines in the game, to follow.
4. UC Security/Sgt. Yumi questline. At some point Yumi will ask you to search for, find, and report contraband. This takes place on Pad B in the Spaceport. If you have not advanced the Vanguard questline beyond its initial Spaceport instance, Yumi will keep telling you to talk to Tua. Once you've cleared that portion of the VG QL, Yumi will open up again.
5. Vanguard questline. See above. According to some reports, once you clear the initial Spaceport issue in New Atlantis, you should be able to progress the CF QL. I could not. This is where I am now.
6. Other reports indicate that the VG QL needs to be completed, so I'm working on that now.
7. If this doesn't work, I'm going to use the CK to check for any other conflicts on Pad B.

Hope this helps. FWIW, the people I know who have finished CF have done VG first, so it may just be a VG issue, but I won't say that until I'm done.

I honestly would not say that this is baked into the savegame by any means whatsoever; in my savegame Huan was unwilling to leave The Well and onto her starship, yet after Bethesda's update went live, lo and behold, she was there, at her ship. Had the bug been baked in my savegame, no such thing would have happened.

I do believe that other people may be experiencing the same bug, but due to different reasons. I submitted a bug report to Bethesda, with my savegame and everything attached. They probably checked it out, identified the issue, and fixed it accordingly. If such an issue cuold be triggered by an entirely different set of events (which seems to be the case), it would be best that everyone experiencing said bug submits a ticket of their own with their very own savefile attached. That way Bethesda can fix every single iteration of this bug that occurs and/or may occur in the future.

Hello. This works 100%...I just tried it.

There are 2 very important things!!!! Let's not make the crew of the UC ship Enemies. The other is that at the very end of the mission to break the bank, there should always be a save before boarding the UC ship. I have the game in Hungarian. If it appears in English, then I know it will be faulty. But if I delete the saves on the UC ship. Then I load the save before boarding the UC ship. Then it appeared in Hungarian and that's how I managed to continue the mission. So I don't get stuck in the well with Huan.
