Ryujin Industries feels very shallow
Ryujin industries feel extremely shallow in this game and feel horrible to work with. They masquerade as this great corporation and seem to morally grandstand on the fact that they advise not killing anyone. it's like a corporate version of Skyrims dark brotherhood. Does anyone enjoy working for them or their quest line? all the quests seem purely self interested whereas something like the dark brotherhood were usually for some level of good such as killing people who have genuinely wronged someone enough to contact the brotherhood. the only worth of working with Ryujin seems to be the stat boosting outfits and the chance in RP terms to stop that horrible manipulating neuroamp going to production, then after that all you get is access to a shabby mission board with some of the worst paying quests destroying every company for ryujins benefit

my comparison to the dark brotherhood was the first idea i got going there, supposedly evil, stealth oriented and major liking for red colour theme with everything, but i prefer the dark brotherhood as contracts were given by people who were determined enough to sit and do the ritual for hours and usually the targets then deserve it. ryujin targets are just them throwing a fit that someone is making something better than them

Color red has nothing to do with killing/murder/blood. Red is a traditional color in Japanese (and Chinese) culture that represents power, authority, prosperity, strength and happiness, while Black is a symbol of masculinity, as well as some other things (both good and evil).

Also, where did you get the idea of Ryujin leadership “throwing a fit that someone is making something better than them?” Who is making “something better?” Have you even played through their faction questline? At this point I doubt it. Everything you’ve written about it so far is patently false.
I may be mistaken about what was being referred to but if you do enough missions at the Ryujin mission terminal that unlocks at the end of the quest chain, you get a bonus mission. The bonus mission will sometimes have you go steal a superior product that a competitor is making.

That entire part of the game needs a complete overhaul it is so bad.

If i were running Bethesda i would literally hire 1000 elite Korean programmers and Kpop stars for 1 billion dollars to overhaul that entire part of the game.

I am having fun of course, but i in fact would do that, because how badly done Neon is drives me crazy its so bad. Was really looking forward to that part of the game even before the game came out from the advertising and lots of cool stuff about space science fiction and stuff like that.

*i know lots of updates coming to Starfield so if thats already in the works completely ignore this comment. Many parts of Starfield need a complete overhaul.

That faction in Starfield is a space ship builder and robot maker by design, on an ocean planet in a space science fiction setting, i don t know what could have went so wrong with the writing and the rest of it. :steamfacepalm:

Honestly? It sounds like you skipped A LOT of dialogue. I agree with A. Silvermane, the quests/missions were definitely good, but they maybe accelerated too quickly. Other than that minor quibble, fine job. Definitely captured the two-faced nature of corporations. The back-stabbing, the in-fighting, etc. Well done.

spoilers ahead

The funniest part for me is the job application form and the first job they give you.

I have a theory about the "fetch a coffee" mission.

Basically they're willing to "hire" anyone, they just want a body to deal with Tomo. They dont care if you kill him or get killed (that would just result in neon security dealing with the guy permanently). They know Tomo will be looking for the new employee so they basically use you as bait.

After seeing that you can handle yourself under that kind of pressure they give you an operative job.

Check Taiyo Astroneering https://starfield.fandom.com/wiki/Taiy%C5%8D_Astroneering?so=search , I believe its on the second or third floor.

That actually makes a lot of sense.

The guy who said they are your average slightly shady but successful mega corp was spot on.

DId first playthrough with this questline, reminds me a bit of the thief's guild in Skyrim.
But too boring for my likes. Though you don't know until ya try it.
Yes, it's not the most exciting questline... but not too bad for a company quest... It's just a bit slow from the hip, but the last third is quite good.
And at some point you also ignore the instructions not to snoop at the Syndicate... then you have a nice fight on Neon a little earlier.

There is a difference between being part of a corporation and just renting space in the same building.:steammocking:

Well i looked it up and taiyo is a subsidiary of ryujin.

Still ships are not their main product line.

Yes ships and robots are their main products, meanwhile the writing and quests are senseless railroading the player character in disrespectful and insulting ways for disrespectful and insulting reasons.

Thats why i think Neon may get an overhaul, because its so badly done.

Its a good idea to read this entire topic to see how completely detached from the subject matter almost all the comments are.

400 million dollars spent to make the game so far as well.....

How badly Neon was done is like some kind of study of some sort.

Some crazy ♥♥♥♥ going on with home entertainment video game making and big money being used to do it....

Which reminds me anyone got a count on how many times the makers of Starfield are being sued at the moment?

I seriously cant keep up with the news. 4 companies around the makers of Starfield were shut down last week. They were being sued last year or something. They were bought out a couple years before that i think.

Just wondering whats going on.

Any of the forum bullies trying to justify this disaster cheating home entertainment customers care to let me know what the latest news is?

Well for sure the makers of Starfield were bought out a couple years ago. Thats 100% for sure.

Then 4 companies around the makers of Starfield were shut down last week. Thats 100% for sure.

The owner of the makers of Starfield were being sued last year i think. Thats 100% for sure.

Times could be off a bit though.

Now what i am asking is how many times they are being sued at this very moment.
