BUG FROM NEW BETA- DEVSSSSSSSSS
The mission Red tape runaround has two glitches, perhaps one being mixed with some oversight and not well thought out. Spoilers ahead for anyone who hasnt played this mission.

In the mission moment you are "returning to Hurst" and you chose to board the ship, not destroy it, found the evidence for his affair. there a couple things;
First, there is an option to turn him into SysDef in cydonia but there is no map marker for this choice, Im just playing a good aligned chac and tried on my own accord/ even if you report him and then ask them for the package the mayor is holding to continue the mission;
1; THEY DONT GIVE YOU THE PACKAGE. though the dialogue says ok they will do this for you So you have to gto back to the Mayor.
2 THE MAYOR SEES NO PUNISHMENT,
3; HE DOESNT ACKNOWLEDGE IT AFTER YOU TALK TO SYSDEF, ZERO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT and no package
4; YOUVE GIVEN THE NOTE AWAY AND YOU NOW HAVE NO LEVERAGE.
IT DEAD ENDS TRYNG TO BE GOOD IN THIS MISSION AND WILL ONLY LEAVE YOU WITH THE OPTION OF LYING ABOUT DESTROYING THE SHIP OR YOU HAVE TO LEAVE AND GO DESTROY IT.

2nd glitch
in the next part,
If you talk Hank into turning himself in, and you walk back to sysdef;
There is no option in dialog after speaking with the officer. the marker leads you to a sysdef employee and there is zero dialog available.
Zero dialog past this point. now hank just wants to follow me around says lines like "smell you later." Gonna reload and not even try to win the persuasion. id rather kill him then he follow me around forever.

Report it to BGS. The devs will never read a single word here. If you really want it to get fixed, report it in the proper channels. I wouldn't recommend shouting at them though.

Still pretty cool him sharing his experience, giving other players a heads up.
If you were unaware, game forums are for gamers LOL

Don't worry OP, this bug will be fixed in 6 months. Bethesda guarantees it!

I would also recommend editing that mashed potatoes version of your experience with something more clear and concise. As a developer (not games) myself, I can honestly say that the way you communicate it important. It's not that we'll ignore your report. However, we deal first with the low-hanging fruit first. And if your report is complete gibberish, which this is (and I completed the quest), it will not be a priority. Keep it at short as possible, clear, and concise. Remove any "flavor" or emotion.

According to them, no problems should be reported here because "devs don't read anyway" lol. All the fanbois want is to write only positive things.

I highly doubt it.

Exactly right, they want their echo chamber, because they can't handle other opinions.
It's really sad how hypersensitive folks are these days haha

I don't have the bugs. Report it to BGS or not, I don't care. If they don't, the OP will have to simply live with it and have no credibility when griping about it not getting fixed.

I don’t quite understand the problem you have with the “return to Hurst” part.

You don’t have the quest mark for reporting Hurst’s corruption the Sysdef, true. I am not sure if this is a bug or the game just not holding your hand. Could be a bug.
But anyway, if you figure out where to find SysDef you just tell them that you still need to get the package from Hurts and the man in charge will say that he will wait until you finish your business with Hurst before arresting him. Then you go to Hurst, tell him you did what he asked and he will “release the package.” Frankly, I’ve never checked if that package was physically present in my inventory. I always simply go back to the guy who wanted the package and complete the quest. Later on if you visit the mayor’s office you will see that the mayor is gone and replaced with the man to whom you reported the crime. So, Hurst is indeed arrested and removed from power.

Alternatively, you can blackmail Hurst instead of reporting him to SysDef. So, you have multiple ways to do this quest: 1) simply blow up the ship and report back to Hurst; 2) board the ship, kill everyone or persuade the captain, retrieve the evidence then a) report to SysDef, b) blackmail Hurst.

I’ve never had any problems/bugs with any of that.

I did that mission just fine, boarded the ship, turned him in, worked out a deal with the cop and everything

You can report here all you like and we'll help you if we can but both Meph and kdodds, who have a long track record of actually helping users in these forums across all BGS titles, are correct in that BGS does not read these forums and as kdodds and other have said we were able to complete that mission with out that issue. Not saying your issue isn't real but if we can't duplicate the issue your best bet is BGS.

Nope that's not true, I never see those guys in any thread where players are asking for help, not once ever.

And the OP is helping his fellow gamer, he's aware that an official report is where the Devs will actually see it, we all know that LOL

I’ve never had any problems/bugs with any of that.

I can also add to this: You kill the pirates and get the evidence. Leave and destroy the ship.

Now you have optional choices. I always go back and collect the package from Hurst.
Then you can optionally end it with blackmail or turning evidence it over to security. I've never done it the wrong way so can't comment on getting the package if you turn him in first.

That is the end of it as I remember from running it several times.

As far as Henry goes, I've always end it with gun play.

I won't argue with you over who does what in the forums. Let's stick to OP's issues because BGS does not read these forums and as kdodds and other have said we were able to complete that mission with out that issue. Not saying OP's issue isn't real but if we can't duplicate the issue your best bet is BGS.

Other than that I believe both Ellorien and tkwoods added some optional choices so let's hope OP is able to get it sorted out.
