Star field is actually a failure.
Star field is bethesda's biggest Fail. Star field is at 20,000 players 2 months after release. Fallout 4 was at 120,000 players 2 months after release. So yes it doesn't matter what the fanboys say about Star fields massive player loss, it does show the game sucks and hence why the downloads for mods are lackluster. No players mean nobody is downloading mods which means nothing big in star fields future. They already said Star field will be leading what Elder Scrolls 6 will be... So sadly that means elder scrolls 6 is already dead in the water... What a shame to see such a gaming behemoth fall so fast. The company that made one of the best open world RPG's of all time Skyrim and their talented Dev's are gone. Bethesda has been reduced to now making lackluster boring stuff like crap field. Smh.

starfield is on gamepass day one.

just 2 weeks ago starfield was the 8th most played game on xbox and last week it was the 11th most played game on xbox.

steam is not where the majority of players are for this game, this already became clear when they accounced that starfield had 10 million players on launch and you look at the players on steam at that time.

They'll bounce back eventually.

Gamepass and console complicates things. Its considerably harder to get mods functioning on the Gamepass version of Starfield. There's also no Creation Kit yet.

That aside the engine is much better suited for Elder Scrolls than it is for Starfield.

For tastes because many colors, I like more oblivion and fo3 than Skyrim and fo4 and as Starfield looks more like oblivion and fo3 because I am delighted with the game and when the remassers of these games come out of these games I think about buying without blinking, I I imagine that those who like Skyrim will be disappointed but I prefer 1000 times oblivion to Skyrim.

I could agree with the engine being better Suited for a ES series. This engine for a space game was a bad idea. They would of been better off making the next Elder Scrolls and releasing that now than doing what they did with Star field. Should of scrapped it down the road until they can make a space game more open. Would of been better off with Skyrim 2 today than Star field in its current state.

Bethesda has already made their money back and more and will continue to do so on this game, so it's by far a failure.
A few people spewing negative crap and nonsense on this forum and in reviews mean nothing. Most people are sheep and usually just follow the so called in-crowd, and these people I like to call sheeples.

Nah, you're not putting it in perspective, you seem to want it to fail so that's what you're seeing. Cyberpunk lost way more players in much less time. So did No Mans Sky. The Resident Evil 4 remake was down to 7% of its release player count (SF was at about 10% in that time) so is that game also "actually a failure?"

You can try to preemptively deflect those "fanboy" arguments but facts are facts. Sure, I'm not gonna deny that some games retain more of their initial player base, but as much as it hurts some to admit, it's following a typical trend.

And as others have mentioned... We don't know the Gamepass stats, could be double or more what we see on Steam but that's speculation.

Damn, the coping is so hard. As a Bethesda fan the game was an objective failure. They will need to continue dev on it for another 2 and half years if they even want it to be remotely fun and even then , the issues built into the game at a ground level are impossible to change as this point. Starfield being at the same player count as skyrim 10 years after release is not a good sign. Thank god you don't run a business.

Which version of skyrim are you checking? It's on steam multiple times.

Seems like a tech demo for TES 6.
