just 2 weeks ago starfield was the 8th most played game on xbox and last week it was the 11th most played game on xbox.
steam is not where the majority of players are for this game, this already became clear when they accounced that starfield had 10 million players on launch and you look at the players on steam at that time.
That aside the engine is much better suited for Elder Scrolls than it is for Starfield.
I could agree with the engine being better Suited for a ES series. This engine for a space game was a bad idea. They would of been better off making the next Elder Scrolls and releasing that now than doing what they did with Star field. Should of scrapped it down the road until they can make a space game more open. Would of been better off with Skyrim 2 today than Star field in its current state.
A few people spewing negative crap and nonsense on this forum and in reviews mean nothing. Most people are sheep and usually just follow the so called in-crowd, and these people I like to call sheeples.
You can try to preemptively deflect those "fanboy" arguments but facts are facts. Sure, I'm not gonna deny that some games retain more of their initial player base, but as much as it hurts some to admit, it's following a typical trend.
And as others have mentioned... We don't know the Gamepass stats, could be double or more what we see on Steam but that's speculation.
Damn, the coping is so hard. As a Bethesda fan the game was an objective failure. They will need to continue dev on it for another 2 and half years if they even want it to be remotely fun and even then , the issues built into the game at a ground level are impossible to change as this point. Starfield being at the same player count as skyrim 10 years after release is not a good sign. Thank god you don't run a business.
