DLSS Ultra
RTX 3070
I noticed an increase in CPU demands with DLSS but still manageable.
I was playing with 59-60 FPS with FSR2 now 44 FPS with DLSS Ultra with high setting but quite fluid, but the visual result is really good.

Use DLSS Quality if you can - Looks much better...

No it does not, DLSS Ultra Quality looks better than Quality. DLSS Quality is slightly better than FSR's best.

I've checked and compared the 2 closely and I agree DLSS Ultra Quality looks best.
RTX 3090 here.

O-o im on a RTX 3050 Laptop gpu with 4gb ram, after installing the patch and changing settings i got a masive increase in quality and fps.

Before i had 40/45 average but going as low as 26 with ups as high as 55/60 fps all on low to medium settings.

After i have a steady 55 and it often goes higher up too 90fps and as low as 35 fps. All on high/ultra settings.

At first it sorta worked but then read somehwere to turn off V-Sync and after i turned it off it got so much better.

Are you sure you have it setup propperly?

That's because what Bethesda has labeled as "ultra quality" is DLAA (Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing). The game renders at your native resolution and applies AI assisted anti-aliasing on top of that. It's arguably the best AA method available outside of super sampling in terms of image quality and has a very minor impact on performance

DLAA should look significantly better than native resolution with TAA and perform the same when it's implemented properly.

That's a funny way of saying you were wrong.

What? You're definitely confusing me with someone else here

I am using DLSS and DLSS set to Quality. On a RTX 3060ti OC, Ultra/High settings, 1440p. Game looks great, runs great. Very stable. All that matters to me.

With my rtx 3080 ti, i never noticed a difference when dlss eventually föcsme out. Starfail still ran like absolute garbage.

Odd doesn't run like garbage here. Maybe figure out what's wrong on your end. And yes DLSS Ultra or i should say DLSS DLAA looks exceptional and runs great.

Should I be using DLAA on a 4090? Or just leave it all turned off?

I'd use DLAA, it's the best anti-aliasing method available in general and works perfectly in Starfield

Image quality is basically as good as super sampling and there's effectively no performance hit

+1 for DLAA it looks great in this game.

And BG3. And anywhere it gets added.
