No Screen shots on steam

I have been taking screenshots but steam has no record of them. I know where the photos are and they are saving but it wont link to steam for some reason. I read somewhere this is a pc issue it seems. I wish you could manually upload them.

Screenshots taken with the in-game photo mode don't go into your steam screenshots. They go into my documents.

My Documents > My Games > Starfield > Data > Textures >

F12 is for screens, photo mode are not screen, you have to go into the gallery, bring up the image, hide the UI, then hit F12. Make sure the cursor is hidden first.

Did you take the photos via Starfield Photo Mode - or did you make a Steam Screenshot (default key is F12) ???

Easy way to chek: When you're in the Starfield main menue, select "Photo Gallery"...

If you can see your photos there, you can now make a Steam screenshot with "F12", which you can upload. I recommend hiding the Starfield Photo Gallery UI by pressing "V" before taking the Steam screenshot.

steam overlay must be on as well to take a steam screenshot. Hit your profile and screenshots should be 1st tab. you can upload and manage from there.

K so if you use the spacebar it saves it too the local disc under starfeild media. If you want it to go too your steam screenshots, you need to make sure you're signed in, hide the
U.I., and take the shot with F12. As for your shots taken and saved to your local disk you'll need to upload them too photobucket or any other online media sharing site and copy past the link too your post on the community site.

What is interesting is the game will use screen captures you take within the game photo mode as loading screen images, but will not use screenshots captured with F12. I guess the Steamworks API does not have a way for games to capture those, and/or there are no events that allow them to respond to them, or they exist but SF does not subscribe to them. I do not know since I've not used the Steamworks API.

Yeah, I noticed that too so for the last few days I've started hitting F12 after I take the shot in photo mode, then I have that screen shot available to post on steam and for cycling through load screens.
