Thanks.
I have only a 4080 not a 4090, but I also have a brand new 14th gen i9 with 128gb of RAM and virtually nothing installed because the system is new and I still have access to the old system for all of the other things I need. It spikes to 180, doesn't sustain it. I've been a "computer nerd" since the early 80s, so this system is custom built with the specific parts that i decided I wanted, e.g. water cooler on the CPU, motherboard with reinforced PCI-Ex slot to support the heavier graphics cards, two NVMe SSDs (4 TB dedicated to just my steam library and 2 TB for "C" drive)...i spent a ton of money on it, but what are credit cars for if not spending money you don't have?
With the latest driver, I'm getting more like 100-140 instead of 120-180 but stability beats speed any day. One hour (I started and finished Entangled) without a single issue.
After work tonight, I'll probably spend more like 5 hours in game and really know how much of a difference it all makes since I'll be visiting more than one quest area.
