Why doesnt Bethesda like Flashlights?
Really welcoming any funny comments about this because i cant think of any. :steamhappy:

Finally Bethesda makes a game with a flashlight and it doesnt work it just says press and hold F to be disappointed because Bethesda players dont deserve a flashlight that works.

There are alot of mods on Nexus to make the flashlight work, popular mods, but should a mod for this actually be required?

The flashlight DOES work, but I think you have to be wearing your helmet (or maybe suit) for it to work...

If "make flashlight work" mods exist, they likely remove the limitation of wearing gear to use said flashlight.

Should previous Fallout games have had flashlights? Yes! But they didnt. Dont ask me why not.

Starfield says it has a flashlights but does it really?

1. The Flashlight works.
2. The Pipboy in FO has a flashlight.
3. There are torches in TES.

Spam.

Considering how much of a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the "immersive pip boy based flashlight" could be unless you made sure your hud was a color useful as a flashlight. My problem with starfield flashlight is not that it is a magic invisible flashlight.

My problem is starfield flashlight having no apparent middle ground between "light up a little bit of a hallway corner darker than a sunless moon (to shoot pirates with magic nightvision aiming at me just fine)" and "ow my eyeballs why did turn on a flashlight here"

Previous games had many radio stations and live performers, but not Starfield, it has a news channel that can only be heard if standing in the middle of no where doing nothing in a few designated spots with no music and not sure what else because no one has ever heard it enough to be able to know.

Starfields flashlight seems like the same thing where can almost see things in the dark but not really and sometimes not even sure if its working at all.

Ok! Maybe its a low battery mechanic like some other games have where the flashlight gets dimmer if not recharged? Somehow the low battery mechanic got taken out of the game and the no light flashlight is whats left?

That has to be the answer because the flashlight in Starfield has to be a mistake or an accident or something.

Yep i looked up the mods on Nexus for Flashlights and very popular mods because its such a problem for everyone and read the comments as well.

But considering the flashlight is an advertised feature in Starfield shouldnt it work?

Im sure Starfield can say on paper it has radio stations and live performers like previous games, but it doesnt. It just doesnt.

But have to add again that previous games should have had flashlights but they didnt.

Previous games had mods for flashlights though, but Starfield shouldnt need mods for that..

I like mods and like Nexusmods i have said 150 times already, but shouldnt need to go to a third party and make an account to get basic mechanics in Starfield to be useable.

There are going to be lots of cool things that only mods can do already anyway. Especially music , but since Starfield doesnt have working radios or radio stations like previous game its going to be ALOT tougher to have that at a cool level.

Turned out to be an excellent topic although a little bit complicated.

No way to know whats going on so many trolls that cant be honest making things tougher than they should be.

You misread OP.
You hold F to use fleshlight. It's a way to easily farm sealant in the early game.

Press F to use the scanner. It makes any item you can pick up glow.

Actually, you do. The flashlight is mounted on the helmet. You have to be wearing one to use the flashlight.
