Permanently Stuck on Planet

Well, title says it all.

After completing the Mantis quest (and the Mantis elevator not actually working, that's a whole different issue..), I went to the surface to get on my original ship I landed with, and it's completely disappeared.

I have quick saved frequently, but now my only option is to go back 5 whole levels, from when I went into the unity, and start all over again.

I genuinely don't know what to do. I can't fast travel anywhere either (probably because my ship disappeared!!!).. Any help please let me know.

Try save and alt+f4 next to lever for mantis ship lift.

If you can get into the ship, behind the controls then fast travel. Dont take off.

Follow the instructions here to complete the quest with the console, or set it back to the stage before you encounter the lever:

Try setting it back first.

Cell transition means to go to an area which gives you a loading screen, it loads a new cell. If that doesn't fix it my guess is there is still an enemy somewhere. Maybe glitched in a crate or something. Look arounf if you see the red marker on the scanner somewhere, try to find him and spam grenades in that direction.

Did you complete the mantis quest or not, that might be the issue, you probably didn't get the mantis ship and suit or maybe you got one and not the other, try getting them both.

The only time my ship despawned was when i switched homeships while still on a quest
with some companions who were still on the old ship, i fixed it by changing my homeship back to the previous ship then waiting for the companions (or crew) to exit the ship.

not being able to fast travel sounds rough, maybe you are over encumbered, if so drop enough stuff and try fast traveling to one of the major settlements New Atlantis or Akila, it might respawn your ship when you do that.

otherwise the next best thing is looking for a few landing sites, im sure an ecliptic ship or varuun one will land, or even a vanguard one. You can make any ship you find your homeship from the pilots seat.

Yep, did this very thing (except for the puzzle, I bypassed via the computer terminate outside the entrance gate. Turned off the turrets).

It says that I have, I just haven't been able to actually get *IN* to the ship, because the elevator is bugged and doesn't raise the Razorleaf to the surface.

I've tried doing this by entering and exiting the Mantis Lair site, it triggers an autosave everytime.

Did I understand right that your home ship disappeared? Was it stolen? It happened to me that my stolen ecliptic ship vanished while I was parked at New Atlantis which disabled my ability to fast travel off the planet. I looked online and there's a bug where stolen ships will just fly off randomly. So I loaded a save and I had enough money to sell my ship and then buy it back and that seemed to fix it.

Not sure if autosave is really an indication but mantis lair is probably its own cell. Try looking for a glitched enemy.

Type tcl in the console.

It will let you fly in any direction and go through walls.

Us that to reach the ship then tcl again but make sure you are a little above the ground so you don't get stuck in a texture.

Although I do feel sorry for you...

I think this would be a brilliant start to a new game where you had to build a small base and wait for a ship to land before you could leave the planet.
Obviously, you'd need some real “survival elements” to the game so you had to gather some food resources as you waited... and waited... and waited... hoping to see a ship land somewhere off in the distance.

As I say... really sorry it's happening to you.
