Gravity in ships
Does the game ever try to explain why there is gravity on ships? Kind of dumb seeing all the clutter like it's an office or something.

It's the grav drive that produces it. There are some situations on some ships where it goes out. And you lose gravity.

unfortunatly no it's not really explained quite a shame there also no lore about the different ship

There was a chat about this the other day, there was some theories but you'd have to guess some kind of gravitational device within the ships system as it does go out if there's no power.

As stated in the first post, the grav drive does it. Cora Coe will talk about wanting to turn it off so we can all float around in the ship.

People and notes mention multiple times that the grav drives make gravity possible in ships and even buildings/settlements. :steamfacepalm:

"putting on nerd face"

so Grav drive adds a gravity well to the object in motion. so why are people not stuck on the back of the ship.

"putting off nerd face"

better leave it here just accept we have gravity on the ship :vahlen:

Dude I have like 100 hours but most of it is ship building. I've done like 5 quests maybe. That's why I asked.

Also seems very irresponsible to leave all that clutter around if the grav system can fail.

You have something called a "Grav Drive" that's powerful enough to fold space (basically). So yah, it's explained in the name of one of your ship components.

But it's also explained through dialogue, a few different places.

Structure interiors also have normal gravity regardless of what moon or planet they're on. I just assume the science fiction trope of artificial gravity generators is in full effect.

Take out the grav drive and board an enemy ship. Gravity will probably be out.

It's also explained in far more detail as part of the main story both with a significant gameplay mechanic, and if you listen to audiologs in said location.

It being called a grav drive doesn't explain ♥♥♥♥.

Do they try to explain it somewhat scientifically or is it just, "Hey it's called a grav drives, it creates gravity."

Because it's impossible to artificially create that much mass to simulate gravity, right? But that's what the machine is supposedly doing?
