Bethesda, you should be ASHAMED OF YOURSELF!
So I just completed the romance quest with Sarah and received the quest for our wedding.
I've arrived on the planet Paradise, found this old friend of hers, and was waiting for the wedding ceremony...
Imagine my disappointment when the ceremony turned out to be a stupid little speech from this very friend standing next to some random bush in the middle of damn nowhere followed by declaring us husband and wife. And that's it...
What was that?
Who in the Bethesda's writing department looked at this and decided it was acceptable?
IS THIS HOW YOU IMAGINE A WEDDING???
are you out of your mind????
I stood up from my PC and was walking around the room from corner to corner loudly cursing Bethesda and its TALENTLESS WRITERS AND SCREENWRITERS, this is how shoked I was.
WHICH OF YOU THERE DECIDED THAT THIS IS ACCEPTABLE IN 2023????
Who came up with the bright idea that a random woman standing in the middle of nowhere could simply declare us newlyweds and that would be enough for me to say “damn, what a cool game!”????

To say that I'm disappointed is an understatement.

IT'S A SHAME!

And against the backdrop of Baldur's Gate 3, this is an indication that your company became A JOKE

Adition:
Was it really so difficult to have a wedding in some place with decorations, with official ceremonies, with friends and party members around? Make a couple of cutscenes with congratulations from them?
WAS IT????????????????

Wanted to say the same. In 2330 , marriage is just signaling "You know, I like you." with no real meaning behind it. Divorce is just a click on a tablet at the UC office :)

Wow, this is the biggest oversight.

Maybe gaming isn't for you if you get so upset over that.

Say thanks to emil pagliarulo? He is the lead writer, and trying to ruin every bethesda game possible. Its absolutely messed up that they still keep him for some reason

Hell, look at kids in school today. They skipping everything and straight to having kids at 14 years of age. Then they sound like their slut puppy mothers on FB talking about needing a good man that can eat the kitty.

I never bothered with getting married in Skyrim, isn’t it just:

- wear amulet of Mara
- approach NPC
- click “ayo babygirl”/hiiiiii daddy, wanna get married?”
- they accept no matter what as long as they’re tagged as marriageable
- fast travel to the Temple of Mara in Riften
- Priest of Mara does his “totally not priest from Age of Empires” animation as your spouse just stands there with a thousand yard dead eyed stare, in front of random NPCs (most of which you don’t even know or like)
- Married.

Half of this game was written by working from home greenhaired landwhales who has only amount of lines as a metric of their job. Silly to expect passion form that crowd

I wonder how long it'll take modders to turn this into a frap sim like they did skyrim.

it was like TWELVE YEARS AGO! This is not acceptable for a modern game from AAA studio what has some ambitions to get GOTY status.

Not really. Anyone with half a brain knows where it's going when Sarah brings up her old friend.
