And no news on patch.
With that computer you "fly" in games but its not the case here.
Set on custom med/high settings with FRS on and sitting between 40 and 55 for me. No choppy or audio issues.
Sorry to hear about that, but I'm quite literally running what are effectively the same spec's and having 0 issues running at 2560 x 1440 on Ultra (or high, in the categories that only run high).
Even VSync is on....
I've noticed that having multiple tabs of browsers open and having other video's playing causes framerate issues on *those* programs, but I set Starfield to 'high' priority and quite literally haven't had an issue maintaining framerate. I've only encountered 2 bugs in my entire playtime (which is already remarkable for a Bethesda game, just saying)
If you want to compare hardware and test settings, happy to help. While it's obviously not just you having issues, there are definitely some of us having 0 issues. So the cause is very likely hardware, settings, or software related (since others are capable of not having these issues)
Don't take that as a personal attack, I'm just saying that its obviously possible to run the game well, so lets figure out why its not.
Bethesda probably could have done a better job making sure it wouldn't have issues, but such is life. If you need help figuring out why, I'm happy to help.
Even worse, because it interrupts the gameflow, are the breaks when starting to talk to someone. He stands there moving the mouth, and the sound comes 10 seconds later. It does not happen all the time, and it drives me crazy not knowing how to improve it.
For example, it is a long delay when entering the Well and talking to a NPC. But when talking to another, the delay is gone. It returns when walking to the Authority and talking to the merchant.
Probably related, when I move along in the Well, the sound of the NPCs fades out, as if left behind, and returns when I stop moving.
Makes me almost think that the problem isn't the graphics, but the audio.
