I'm not sure about the mechanic and whether its realistic but its not like the game doesnt caution you
Because taking 20 bullets in the face while wearing a spacesuit but being fine after sleeping for an hour does make a lot of sense, right? ^^
I would have been all for a limited air supply while exploring, I think taking an hour or maybe 90 minute tank would have been cool, so many other things but fair enough, and the bullet hole comments, spot on.
I wasn't expecting to be standing still in Sol, mining, and getting hit somehow with an affliction.

There are game mechanics which dont make sense, but for the sake of the game its "game logic".
Oxygen is more understood like Stamina here... Let's say that it represents the O2 saturation in your blood ^^

suppose they couldnt figure out how to separate space from land.
