2 days and still no refund
I sent the refund request almost 2 days ago and this is the first time a request takes that much time to go through. They just sent me the automated mail that they received it and still nothing.

This is the first time this is happening for me at least. All other requests i've done have been completed (with the refund as well) in less than a day.

My guess is you're in a queue. There's probably a thousand other angry consumers before you with buyers remorse having their purchase refunded.

I would ask for a refund too if I purchased this. But I didn't.

Should have refunded during the early release period when we were all telling you guys it was god awful and were refunding it ourselves. I hope you get your money back though.

I'm debating on doing just that because I cant even get the damn game to launch.

Seriously, at this point i think there is an agreement with steam and Xbox to delay refund requests in case someone gets bored of waiting and cancels it.

I am sure you still count as one of "6 million players" that Todd braggs about LOL

Very long refund queue for such a "masterpiece"

Sure, nothing to do with added verifications thanks to all the "big brains" who refunded their premium edition after playing 5 days just before release to buy the standard edition as soon as it was released...

Nah, probably just "an agreement with steam and Xbox to delay refund" , that makes so much more sense ;)

If you haven't gotten yet, something is wrong. It's not because there's a long queue.

Steam actually has public facing data showing their support queue in graph form, and listing the average time it takes to get refunds. Right now the average refund wait time is under 2 hours.
You can see all that data here.

My first guess would be that you didn't meet the requirements for a refund and it has to go through actual people. That always takes longer. It's usually taken 1 to 2 days when I've done it, to get the first response from them, and then a few more days of back and forth exchange providing them more information.

IMHO Looking at the statistics and what's going on with this crap, it looks like there are record queues on the subject of refunds and who knows if, in this maelstrom, your application was simply lost somewhere.

Are you looking at the spike on the graph, that was in June/July?

OP did not get a refund after 2 days of notification. What does a chart have to do with it. Let's talk about facts.

Someone in the thread already said they recently got theirs no problem. What the Chart has to do with it is that shows the actual backlog of Steam support. Not your imaginary made up in your head queue, but the real one.

Their support statistics page shows straight up that refunds are only taking 1-2 hours. OP should follow up, because something is wrong with his request, specifically.

Oh yeah, thats a good point. Normally id question if people really do that sort of thing.. but after the past week I've seen enough to know better.

How many hours do you have in the game, OP?

Sometime refunds take longer, this can be caused by user actions like a recent password change, sometimes it just seems to be down to luck.
