Do you guys all have the best PC specs?
I have i5-13400, rtx 3070 and 32GB RAM. The game is on SSD samsung 970 evo plus.
I got 60-80 FPS in the first locations with lowest graphics settings at 1080p. It looks like I will have less than 30-40 FPS in cities and similar heavy locations. That's not enough at all for a first-person shooter. More so, the game looks awful with those settings. How can you enjoy the game? I'm sure most have specs even worse than mine. Have you adapted to the poor performance and graphics or is it something else?

On first impression I really like the game, but I can't imagine playing starfield with the lowest settings and such FPS. I'm already thinking about a refund, but hopefully there are those here who know how to fix it.

i don't have top specs...

AMD Ryzen 5 5600 6-core
32gb ram
Radeon RX6700 XT
WD_Black SN770 1TB

running on high, averaging 70+ am dropping down a bit in places like new atlantis, but not enough to annoy. 1 crash in 60+ hours and 1 lockup.

Jokes aside, I ran this just fine on i9-12900K + 4060 TI + 64GB mem + nvme m2 SSD at 1440p 60fps with DLSS 3.5 mod.

FSR2 helps, and someone made a mod to enable DLSS3. I would advice trying one of those solutions first.

In my case my fps isnt high either, around 45~50 wit however performance is stable so its fine for me, but mainly due to the highly immersive nature of the game. Without that, it probably would be of some negative impact.

That said, im playing on 4k with settings maxed, with a 6800xt and 5900x. So I could easily get a lot more fps if I just dropped to 1440p, nevermind 1080p.

RTX 3080
i9-10850k
32GB RAM

The game runs like absolute garbage. I have everything on the absolute minimum and sound is still delayed, constant freezes and crashes. What on earth is going on?

The game doesnt support being installed on a HDD. It requires an SSD.

I'm on a pretty budget computer and it runs around 60fps on max settings. I'm not familiar with how recent Nvidias cards are I see a lot people having, but I got this game through purchasing a discount video card at only $200 some thing and it runs pretty great.

I have all last gen High end Parts and it runs this game Extremely Extremely Extremely Extremely, did I say extremely well?

90+ FPS average in the most demanding city in the game Atlantis city outdoors.
This is 100% fully maxed without any helpers. No upscale, No cheaters, 1440P ULTRA, Dynamic resolution is OFF, screen resolution scale is 100%.

The game runs better on amd gpus at the moment, but it also matters about NVME, CPU, Ram speed and Ram amount, make sure your cpu / gpu are not throttling.

I have:

I7-8700K @ 3,70Ghz
32BG RAM
Geforce RTX3090Ti
SSD Samsung 860 EVO

And I have ~50fps in the cities and ~60fps in open world.
It does drop to 40 ocasionally or jumps to 80 but 50 and 60 are the average

Game runs on everything maxed out with Motion Blur and Depth of Firld disabled (I hate those effects visually) on 1440 resolution.

Mine does nothing butter stutter and freeze, i have no idea why

I don't have the latest and greatest by any means (I built this PC in 2018, have only upgraded the graphics card):

CPU: 8700K
GPU: 3090ti
RAM: 32GB
Drive: Samsung 960 Pro 2TB SSD

Game runs flawlessly for me at 3440x1440 on Ultra settings. No stutters, no crashes. I just wish it supported DLSS -- FSR doesn't look as good, in my opinion.

Kinda? I have a last gen AMD CPU/mobo, but otherwise pretty high-end: Lightly O/C'd R9 5900x, 64GB of pretty fast DDR4, stock ASUS RTX 4080, game and OS on separate NVME drives.

It is running solid enough for me with a blend of High/Ultra at 1440p I disabled FSR and just run it Native. 70-90fps. Occasional dips to 58-60 in busy New Atlantis, but otherwise not bad. It might be my imagination, but I feel I can still see the difference in Image Quality between FSR2 and Native. I prefer Native over DLSS/FSR when practical, even though most will say that it makes no objective difference.

It does seem like there should be more room for Nvidia & Bethesda to optimize, as despite solid performance on the High End, I honestly expected better frames (especially at 1440p) than what we're seeing from Team Green. Bethesda's complete lack of interest in implementing DLSS at all when modders can do it in a couple days seem to imply some kind of contractual obligation, despite carefully curated PR-speak denials.
