Scammed by Green Man Gaming

Steam is refunding streamers and players left right and centre for this game. Yet Green Man Gaming is revoking the UK legislation and just general good will by refusing all refunds for this game. Be careful and only use Steam. Anyone been able to get a refund from GMG?

You can not, and never could, refund keys bought elsewhere.

Because Steam has its own refund policy. If you buy through a 3rd party, you are not buying from Steam.

I bought this game through GMG, and to my knowledge their site says that all purchases are final. So they do not do refunds. The main reason is because they give you a key, that key is applied else where. GMG does not have control over the key, so consumers could refund and still have an active key.

as others point out your issue lies with buying a third party item.

I've got a Steam Key but if I have an issue with my purchace I need to go talk to GAME UK for example and their rules are not Steam's

^This. Steam only refunds things actually bought through Steam. Buying a key from a 3rd party site automatically precludes Valve from giving you a refund.

And GMG is not revoking anything. It offers you a waiver in return for instant access to the product. You did not get scammed. You got what you paid for and signed up to.

What legislation is that? You're not entitled to a refund for digital goods once the key is redeemed and the software downloaded. Unless it's fundamentally broken which it isn't.

you could never refund a 3rd party key. If you buy a 3rd party key always look at past discussion about it. GMG reps always say soon as you reveal the key, you cant refund it. When i got 2042 I tried to refund it as the game is a technical mess and they wouldnt refund me.

Only steam has your back for refunding what they sold you.

if you buy a key from a store, you are subjected to their refund policy, regardless of where the key is being redeemed. GMG is very clear that refunds are at their discretion. Call it a bad policy, but that's not a scam

UK Legislation makes it clear that right of withdrawal doesn't apply if a digital item is consumed upon use.

Only buy from 3rd party if you don't plan to refund. I bought my premium edition for $85 on CDKEYS site. Had no plans on refunding

Software refunds used to be ..Never for any reason. However if you do a chargeback on GMG .You will never be able to purchase a game from them again. And no refund policies are not scams.
