What Are You Spending Your Credits On?

I got a free ship during the Ranger questline that stomps everything, I can't upgrade it much because it already came with rank 4 ship building parts. I buy all the resources and ammo from vendors and still end up with surplus profit every time I sell loot. I'm now at around half a million credits and I've barely spent any the entire game, none of the vendors seem to sell anything better than what drops. Only a few seem to have unique weapons and even then they're not usually more than 15k, and they never have suits, helmets or packs with any rare+ qualities.

What are you guys spending your money on? Are there vendors who sell more expensive/worthwhile things in higher level systems? Or is this just it?

Nothing yet. Just banking a few bucks atm. Always like to start off with some proper spending cash before going shipping.

Med kits, occassional weapons/armor, ship upgrades. Seem to be stuck at a ceiling around 60k which is a little frustrating because new ships are 80k+

Ships/ship parts. Most of the good weapons and armor seem to come through questing or looting, and I haven't found a decent merchant that just sells settlement resources yet.

Day 2 I made the 125K to pay my mortgage off in full.

Day 6 now, (I think its all a blur) and I am sitting on 325k. Stroud Eklund has some gigantic cargo haulers and I would like to buy one but they run about 280k so I would like some more credits before I drop everything on a single ship and become a peasant again.

I have almost 500 K. Figure i will build or buy a ship but I have to get some points added to the pilot skill so that I can get a class A or B ship.

Curious, did you talk to the banker the quest tells you too to pay it off? I keep going to him every time i ma near the bank and he has no dialog options for me.

Yep, I believe you have to pry a quest out of him before the dialog shows up for the house. Strangly Galbank didn't seem concerned at all about my lack of payment until that point. I was half expecting it to already be reposessed.

I still have yet to visit the home, but I figured if its a perk house, you probably can't buy it later so I took it.

There's a rifle sold at new atlantis so im saving it for that, then i'll probably save for a new ship and more guns. and also no point in buying houses when you can set up outposts tbh

It's actually really nice and pretty big. I have not furnished it yet beyond 4 storage chests and one workbench. I have been flying back there and occasionally dumping my excess resources. I also store any contraband I pick up there before heading to any system that may scan me.

Ship upgrades. A weapon here or there. Resources I don't have and need. And condition effect cures.

Kryx star system - The Key station is your location to go (Crimson Fleet headquarters), quest for United Colonies brings you there. Best spot for selling / buying anything. There are like 6 merchants close to each other (so no running, no loading screens), no scanning when landing so contraband free zone. They also sell plenty of resources there.
