Enjoy your stay.
So i'll hit you with why its crap (if you enjoy reading, thats how much is crap):
- Bugs like enemies clipping through doors, same for companions. Nothing game breaking so far but immersion breaking
- The colors the game uses (color grading? Everything looks drab) is absolutely horrid for your eyes if you play longer periods of time
- Game looks better than fo4 does, but not by much yet the performance is terrible. Looks very dated for 2023 release
- Exploration is boring, most planets are completely empty save for some rocks and plants. The occasional alien animal
- Space is more optional than a core gameplay mechanic, you mostly just load screen onto planets / to objectives
seems like they played it incredibly save to not potentially upset the old fallout fanbase that dont care for the space aspect.
Instead of truly going all in with a new IP, that and/or engine limitations.
- Worst intro to a game ever, the most bland and uninspired intro you'll ever play. Like chatGPT wrote it or something.
- Main story is boring
-Doing the temples for power(s) is incredibly boring and repetitive, it's the same everytime to unlock a power, floating around collect some shinies in zero gravity
- Perk system is same old uninteresting crap, but this time you need to unlock the next rank by doing a mini objective before you can purchase next rank.
Such as hack 0/15 lockpicks, before you can purchase next rank.
- In NG+ you keep your level, experience and skills but YOU WILL LOSE EVERYTHING else (your items, side mission progress and relationships with will be lost)
So you either dont bother with it because you're in the middle of quests, or you rush the main story. Terrible design.
- Characters are mostly all bland and un-interesting
- Play doh expressions on NPC's, voice acting is decent
- Companions not very memorable
- Melee combat is awful
- Gunplay is meh
- Bullet sponge enemies on harder difficulties
- Inventory management is a complete chore, constantly encumbered (even with weightlift perk)
- Enemy variety is non existant (spacers, pirates) all humonoid enemies.
- Enemy AI is objectively bad, sometimes doesn't even react to you
- No maps whatsoever (including for big cities, gotta memorize where everything is)
- NPC's have no routine whatsoever
- No gore or dismemberment, but fo4 had gore
- In fo4 if you loot corpses, the armor/clothing gets removed from the corpse. In starfield this is not the case
- This is somewhat nitpicking but the load screen menu is worse than fo4
- Game feels more like a community mod than a full on new IP
- No DLSS
- No fov slider, but you can select your pronouns. What a joke
TLDR: 4/10
Dated gameplay and visuals devoid of basic QoL, overall experience feels like it was a fo4 community mod that took 1-2 years to make rather than a new IP from Bethesda.
7 or higher out of 10 game, my @ss.
nothing you say is going to make me not enjoy the heck out of this game, but keep trying mr nitpicky.
None of this is nitpicking except for the load screen menu being worse.
The game looks dated, runs like crap, ai is terrible, no enemy variety are all objectively true.
The game is just not good, sure you can enjoy something that isn't good, but that doesn't make it good.
You didn't and still haven't provided any argumentation as to why it is good.
LOL. You say "GAME GUD". They give you their breakdown of the issues with the game and all you can say is they're "nitpicky"?
How dare you assume their gender, LOL
all of that is subjective lmao, are you the one truth or something?. Also the game runs great for me using mods, DLSS + FrameGen + NativeHDR at 4K max settings, over 120+ fps at all times, no stutter. Instead of solutions and fixing problems you just sound like you wanna cry like a little baby. Must suck not having fun.
Almost everything he wrote is subjective at best. A few of them like No DLSS might be valid, most of it is just parroted junk from angry PS5 owners. The guy probably hasn't played the game and won't/can't.
I enjoy myself more than in Skyrim or Fallout.
12 hours in so far, just got Sam Coe.
And yea all criticism above is valid. BGS did not innovate, because safe choices = more moneys. Just look how CP2077 failed on the consoles due to bugs.
Nah, the enemy ai is objectively terrible, same for enemy variety etc. None of that is an opinion. Same for performance issues, the game does not run great. The fact you haven't had issues doesn't mean they dont exist.
And you are literally using mods... the game didnt even launch with DLSS, or is that an opinion aswell? lol
People like you that just praise something but cant even explain why its just funny to me. Ignorance to obvious flaws, good for you. Like I said, you can enjoy crap, still doesn't make it a good game. Because it's not, and I explained why.
I can play the game fine, but that also doesn't make it good neither does it mean performance issues dont exist. Notice how I didn't list "game breaking bugs", because I haven't had any so far.
Sooo, skill tree isn't new? Awesome space fights were in Fallout? Sorry but anyone who bought Fallout or Skyrim/Oblivion would be a fool to not like this game, UNLESS you really hate Space games.
Yeah I didnt play it, when clearly it shows next to my profile I own it and if you click on said profile you see 30 hrs played.
Has nothing to do with ps5/consoles, I wrote it myself
