Every npc gives you their life story just by walking past just like all the other creation engine games etc.
It took me 2 seconds of opening scene to go 'Oh this is the fallout 4 engine'. You can just tell by how the graphics look. Lots of rehashed assets too.
The outposts are literally the fallout settlements, except kinda both more sucky and better at the same time ..
What change??
Not that makes things any better mind you. Not including town maps is virtually unforgivable.
He went through the FIVE STAGES.
He has reached... Acceptance.
So many players praising and other not.
Its a mess right now.
I have "fear" to buy it at this moment lol
Wut? Dude ... 'amazing' was Morrorwind, and this was over 20 years ago, ever since it's a constant downward spiral with the occasional 'alright' in between. Most Bethesda games function the same way:
1. Get quest
2. Loot to get equipment/fetch quest items
3. Kill to get quest items/get equipment/fullfill quest
And repeat
It's a viable gameplay loop if you don't wish to see complex interactions, deep mechanics or a compelling writing. Over time, starting with Oblivion, EVERYTHING ELSE has been left out to an ever increasing degrees.
Even Wolfenstein started to work this way more and more and more and that's just by the pub-influence of Bethesda and not even the dev-influence.
Everything ACTUALLY good connected to Bethesda that was done since Morrorwind was done by OTHER studios (like id) and not BGS themselfs. Best case scenario for BGS-dev for the last 20 years was "Not completely bugged and at least partially compelling gameplay loop for a limited amount of time", worste case scenario ... phew ... so many examples but I'll go with F76
New Vegas? Obsidian
Doom? id
Wolfenstein? Multiple (not all of them with a good product though)
Hi-Fi RUSH? Tango
ESO? ZeniMax OS
If BGS develops the game themself, it's been a bland dumpster fire
Game is pretty amazing. If you have doubts try it yourself or watch reviews. Lots of good reviews out there by now, and ofcourse your own experience is most important then any review or opinion.
Its not without its faults, like any other games. For example UI is.. very bad.
However its crazy how much this game offers in terms of good content, variety, visuals etc. (New Atlantis the city shown in OP video is one of the places where the visual design has some big flaws)
For some reason there is a group of people intentionally trying to make this game look like its trash. There's speculation these people are playstation fans that dont like how Starfield isnt on playstation. I dont know. Regardless, I can tell you that they misrepresent this game to pretty extreme extents.
It wouldnt be a hyperbole to say they are blatently lying about the game.
Some players report high cpu temps and a lot of crashes, but like you said i have to see it for myself.
Thanks.
