What happens if you take companions through the Unity?
Do they carry over?

Did you find out?

You can't. No one comes with.

Yeah it’s kinda weird.

You’ll have Sarah, Sam+Cora, Andreja, and Barrett (minus one if they’re dead ofc) tell you about their desire to go through the Unity.

I’m not sure if you can actually convince them not to, but regardless, when you go to the Unity you’re by yourself.

Yet, during the “this is the state of the universe you’re leaving” display prior to entering Unity, you’ll see Walter, Vladimir, Matteo, and Noel as the existing members of Constellation.

So we have to assume that either

A) you’re all going through it but each person is getting their own 1 on 1 with themselves and making their choice like you are

Or

B) the others followed after you (I think it says something like after you pass through, the armillary/ship will return to the Lodge)

Granted, you don’t actually see anyone on your ship or have the ability to make them companions before you leave, but that may be just a bit of oversight and bad writing on Beth’s part.

As far in the next universe?

Someone can correct me if I’m wrong but I think they said that it’s not a guarantee you’re all going to end up in the same universe.

So you may go through and end up in universe A, Sarah goes through and ends up in universe G, Sam goes through and ends up in universe O, etc.

So, for me, the person I romanced was said during the unity scene to have entered as well to follow me. I was coming to see if I might eventually see them again, but I guess yall don't know either lol

No but after your first unity, other companions can get skills.

What about taking them through the Unreal Engine

They go with you into the new universe but they appear to lose their memory and don’t become starborns.

During the Unity scene you see whoever was in your ship with you during the grav jump but they appear as shadows, then when you meet Sarah for the first time in the new universe (if she passed the Unity with you) she tells you that you look familiar but doesn’t exactly recognize you.

She tells you that anyway and then tells Vasco to identify you, she has never been on ship and has used this line all 8 times so far.

Maybe they did, but given how the next universe is 'a random infinite choice' (meaning lore not the actual mechanic). What would be the odds of them landing in the exact same universe as you? As Fear2288 said.

When our characters 'jump,' it's always to the same place, and same point in time. Which lore wise doesn't make sense if it's suppose to be because of the artifact, since Barrett is the only other member said to have seen the vision. Where/what is the point to where anyone else would always return to?

All that just to say. I believe that, within lore, it would be almost impossible for two people to meet. At least on the first try, and you could spend eternity trying to find each other.

I had an odd thing hapen in one of my NG+ Games. I arrived at lodge and spoke with Sarah Morgon. I turned around and Barret was there in a spce suit. He said to me "I told you we would meet again" and then walked out the door. I thought is was a bug but maybe it does happen sometimes. It was very odd that he just walked away. I never saw him again.

The companions go into the unity but their own separate versions where I assume they also meet their own version of the person there . I know this because The Emissary cycles through constellation members as you do ng+'s So the constellation members are going in too.

It would be nice to take your “partner” thru Unity.
The option to take you companion with you would be good.

Yes, I guess it's too much work and write whole new story for them to add if we allowed take companion with us.
Ok, I thought only one person from each universe could enter the unity. I thought a person needed all of the artifacts therefore only one person with all the artifacts from that universe could enter the unity, that's why the Starborn fight over them. I thought once a person from that universe entered the unity, every other person and Starborn was locked into the existing universe. Have I got that right?
