Sound Glitch

So far I'm enjoying the game, but sadly, I ran into a rather annoying glitch that started out a whatever issue, but is quickly beginning to grow a good bit annoying. I'm pretty sure it's a sound glitch related to the rendering issues the game is plagued with, or so I've noticed, as it runs great... save the sound. The sound is literally the only thing that I'm having an issue with in the game, and now I've gotten an annoying sound glitch where it's as if there's a powerful wind blowing into the mic. No matter where I go or what I do in game to solve the issue it just stays. It's actually super annoying at this point.

It's not game breaking, but god is it ever freaking annoying to constantly hear wind whipping at my ear when I'm in my space ship or on in a building. First thing Bethesda needs to do is sort out their weird sound glitches with this game lol.

Seriously, only issues I've had thus far all stem from the sound being faulty.

I have a sound glitch where I can hear everything but character dialogue. I can't hear any voice lines. The volume is turned up in the settings, I checked. Seems like this game has lots of audio problems.

I heard a sound once in game of two dudes moaning while clapping each others cheeks.

i got this as well. mine seem to fix it self. but now and then sound starts to crackle. one things fixes its self then another starts

i only hav an SSD and im still having the problem i have like double the recommend specs its very frustrating. i really love it and i see streamers are not having any problems what gives?

You can add me to the list of people that cannot hear character dialogue. Also, I was listening to someone's notes from the desk and the lines just went zooming by without making any character monologue.

I've had random sound glitches as well that I can't figure out a solution to. Sometimes dialogue stops working. Other times there's a repeating static/audio glitch that's loud and makes the game completely unplayable for me. I'm on an SSD, but that should have absolutely zero impact on rampant audio glitches.

Also lost character voice dialogue. Had it through the lodge, then when I stopped playing for the night. When I came back, no character dialog. Nothing changed. Playing with 32GB RAM, AMD 6800 XT GPU, 980EVO Samsung M.2 NVME SSD drive and a Ryzen 7 5800X. No problems with other games, no problems with this game for the first 3 hours.

update: so I walked away from my pc frustrated, as in my opinion, this makes the game unplayable as it is very annoying, breaks immersion and causes me to miss quests I can't hear npc's talking about.

when I came back, I had a windows update that also updated directx, so I updated and restarted my pc, and the voices came back. For a day or so.

The second time voices disappeared, I had left the game paused for several hours to eat etc, and when I came back the voices were gone. restarted game, no dice. restarted pc, and it worked, voices came back. for a while.

I had played and turned off the game for multiple sessions/days and then yesterday it happened again, but this time as soon as I loaded the game. Restarting the game did not help this time, and I am again stuck with no character/npc dialog voiced. I see them talking, the captions appear at the bottom, but I'm just left with sound effects and the background music.

I have made a new thread, specifically for the devs for this game. It includes the troubleshooting info we have here and lists instructions on how to add helpful items to get this resolved. Please if you are still having this problem, check out this thread and add your details. The more people that give hard data the quicker we can get it added to an update.

Same issue, computer setup exceeds recommended stats, besides, since I can hear all other sounds (music, weapons, footsteps, etc...) this is most likely not a hardware issue.
