I love Bethesda for the ES and Fallout games and they've given us some of the best worlds I've played in games. However, when I hear 'procedurally generated' I always translate this as we want to create a huge open world but can't be arsed. This just seems to breed lifeless games!!!

He pretty much tears apart every aspect of this game and I'm REALLY hoping this isn't a sign of things regarding ES6 :(

imagine needing a critic to tell you if you should play a game or not. You're either interested in the game or you're not.

I've been a huge BGS fan since Morrowind. And I can easily tolerate all the woke garbage if I had a good game to play. But with this POS, it's just like salt in the wound.

It's the worst Bethesda game ever released. I never thought I'd refund a BGS title, but I did. The Bethesda modding community is the only hope for this turd.

I usually like his reviews and his taste usually matches mine almost exactly and I think normally he is reliable. However I think he is completely wrong on this one and does criticism where it's not needed, like the "gatekeeping crafting" thing that you you can put skillpoints into certain skills to gain more crafting recipes. How is that bad?

Anyway, I've played for like 45 hours now and I'm not even anywhere close to finishing the game. It feels like I just started playing. He is doing usually good reviews but this one I don't think was a good review. It seems he hasn't really done much in the game either, like he didn't really touch the ship building or basebuilding much.

I lost some faith in Mack when he started recommending some dire games. I'm sure he was being honest but he does not have the same taste as everyone, he can very well make bad calls. He praised Prey and still does. I bought that on his recommendation and found it to be the most boring game I have ever played. I ran past the 2 hour mark and couldn't refund so I am stuck with the darn thing forever.
I had the same experience with Gears tactics and several others which I can't remember the name of. You can't take his reviews as gospel, you have to try for yourself.

bro you don't even own the game and never played it. Game is pretty awesome. But yeah there is woke stuff in it that needs to be tuned out.

Bethesda once was a wonderful game company. Yes, it had problems with games especially at release. NOW< HOWEVER, Microsoft owns Bethesda and it went to merde, complete crap fast. Do not expect the next Elder Scrolls to be different than this game. Bethesda is dead.
