What does "woke" even mean?

No one can even define it, yet everyone complains about it. It takes a few seconds to choose pronouns which you do only once and never again once your character is created. Is that really such a big deal?

This is a science fiction game set in the distant future and it doesn't even take place on Earth. There are shops where you can fully change your appearance, so it makes sense for options not to be limited and labeled by gender in such an advanced world.

For some, as little as seeing black women... existing... is enough for a game to be "woke", apparently. Everyone has their own "definition" of this nonsense and it's very clear what kind of people make these kind of complaints.

These complaints are only used as cover and as an excuse for obviously bad stuff (which explains the need for sugarcoating it, as well as all the fear propaganda and what not) by the worst kind of people who are completely out of touch with reality and can't think of anything more significant to complain about than this completely random detail.

Just how pathetic does your life have to be to complain about picking ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pronouns in the character creator of a video game? Not only that, but even creating entire conspiracies about it? Honestly, I would just kill myself at that point.

It's just sugarcoating, really. Just because something doesn't fit in your chicken head doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Fortunately, I have an objective and all-cold point of view, not least because I don't live in the US. What I wrote is, in the EU, for example, a standard description of what has been going on for a decade in the US - standard, not singular. The world is a little bigger than you imagine.
