Honestly all the kids who couldn't resist to be hyped and preorder this junk of a game will now be disappointed and hopefully some of them will learn their lesson.

*Bethesda* has some great titles but all their recent releases are junk.
1. TESV V Skyrim is great but only with mods.
2. Dishonored 2 was also a fun and interesting bethesda game. (arkane studios)
3. Doom 2016 was another amazing bethesda title. (id software)

So what happened? Well consumer money milking happened.
All the recent titles, the latest dishonored death of the outsider, doom eternal, starfield, all of them are garbage, boring and dull.
Now that microsoft acquired bethesda / zenimax it's over.
Bethesda is done just like anything microsoft touches.

Rest in piece skyrim VI, was nice thinking about you but i know you won't be what i want to you to be, a great game that's fun.
No no no, instead it'll be boring, dull, soulless copy paste, and full of woke nonsense.
Sadly there will always be some silly fanboys that will buy anything and defend it no matter how completely garbage it actually is, shame on these creatures.
They are the reason companies keep releasing broken early access games that lack any soul.

Fromsoftware's Armored Core VI had me much more entertained than starfield.
And baldurs gate i deleted when i saw they have pronounce in character creation, instant boycott.

OP: I played a Bethesda game and was upset when it was a Bethesda game.

Literally every Bethesda developed game is the same, if you don't like that maybe don't play Bethesda games, it's been this way since TES 1, they've always been 7/10 games without mods and it literally has nothing to do with Zenimax/Microsoft.

So many people in 2023 with 0 brain cells, first the people complaining Armored Core VI wasn't a Souls game and now these posts in Starfield complaining that Bethesda made a Bethesda game.

And here I am surprised I liked this game on my Titan X GPU with freezing frames when I talk to NPCs and a few crashes. I dunno why people assume this game was going to be anything different. :P Doom series always had the best performance thanks to ID software. Bethesda was never as great but their gameplay is fun for open world RPGs.

Eh.. i like modded skyrim alot, and without mods i would have stopped playing ages ago.
Yeah bethesda games tend to be similar in some aspects and that has nothing to do with zenimax or microsoft, but.. that's not what i was saying.
AFTER microsoft acquired bethesda things will no change and are already changing within the company and we can see that looking at their latest game - starfield.
I'm certain it wasn't bethesda who wanted to implement he/she/it/they/them into the game.

In my case? Because it was possible to refund it before release no matter how many hours I had played (13 hours before refunding, in the end), making it a safe enough prospect. Hopefully that's a helpful thing to know the next time a game publisher tries this sort of thing!

2016 Doom is s!ck. Maxed out graphics settings give me the maximum amount of frames my monitor can produce (165) and the games looks great, id software did good there, vulkan API should have gotten more attention, directx and opengl aren't the only options.
Your titan x could handle starfield, well that's interesting. Probably medium settings 1080p?

OP hid "woke" pretty far down and had me fooled into thinking this might be a legitimate review. Only real criticism I've heard is about loading screens breaking immersion. Gonna buy it and have fun I think.

The pronoun selection is the absolute dumbest thing to complain about, you have to go out of your way to actually see anything other than default selection for the masculine/feminine bodies and doesn't affect the game.
