Old Mars Skin not appearing in workshops?

Hi Gamers,

Anyone else having problems accessing their Old Mars Skin in the workshop? I cannot find my skin in game, but have been told it should appear in a weapon and armour workshop but it is not there

The pre-order and Premium Edition skins can be applied at any weapon or spacesuit workbench once you have acquired the initial base item(s).




Old Mars Skin Pack (Pre-Order):
The Laser Cutter, Deep Mining Helmet and Deep Mining Pack are acquired during your first mission, "One Small Step."

Constellation Skin Pack (Premium):
Equinox Laser Rifle - Typically found around Kreet
Boost Pack - Received at the end of the mission "One Small Step"
Constellation Spacesuit and Helmet - Received at the end of the mission "The Old Neighborhood"

This does not resolve the issue and people on Reddit are saying it's probably due to missing files that don't download if you use an external key for the preorder

Old mars skins only appear on certain pieces of armor only.

Checked my account details (purchase history), and it IS showing the pre-order key as activated. Still no sign of the skins showing. I have been able to swap out the skin on the rocket backpack for the Constellation skin you get after ending One Small Step, so the mission HAS ended, but no sign of the Mars skins for the helmet and the original backpack you get at the start of the game :(

Yup the Deep Mining helmet and Space suit backpack that everyone starts with. The Cutter you pick up in the tutorial portion of the game. We've got the right items, it's just that the skins don't appear when you try and change them at the crafting tables. Have you been able to swap the skins in your game?

Having the same issue Old Mars skins are not there through workshops. 2 keys also used and DLC list shows DLC as active. Just tested both keys again and Steam says products are activated.

Try verifying game and restart steam client, and see if that work, but, old mars skin only work on basic starting of your helmet (mining space suit) Cutter (mining gun) and (Mining Jet pack) and constellation skin only work on constellation space suit along constellation jet pack, and one type gun, called Equinox. It's won't work apply anything other than that, I thought it's would work on everything, gave us more option of look, but it's nearly worthless.

Happy launch day! It looks like its fixed for me now! Just got my old mars skin on my laser cutter thank god! Took a reinstall but we got there :)

This _might_ help:
I chose the cutter tool in the workbench and since it has only the skin mod and it showed as one line I thought I am missing the skin (instead of clicking that line and seeing the options like you do with all other mods).
So I went for a spin reading about it and ended up disabling the preorder skin DLC. When I opened the game with it disabled I got an in-game popup notification on the main menu screen just after loading saying new content has been installed.
I then, naturally, repeated the same mistake as above (I was really not focused...) so just decided to close the game, reenable the DLC and relaunch the game.
When I tested it then I did click the skin line and it did show the skin.
Bottom line: I don't know if I did or did not have it before but that popup suggests that this procedure might help someone else.
