Devs lied. you cant explore whole planets without landing on another area.
todd and others Clearly said you can walk round and explore freely. here is proof that you get a invisible wall and need to go back to youre ship to land in a new place.

Were you really planning to walk over 30 minutes in one direction just to find a new rock and have to walk back?

see that planet, you can't explore it without landing

Don't care.

The game is using a 20 year old engine. What do you expect?

Show me where they've ever said you can walk seamlessly around an entire planet. I'll save you some time. There is none.
Mick Savage Aug 26, 2023 @ 2:11pm
It's not seamless that is correct, but we still don't know exactly how the "take off and land in a new spot" works exactly.

We do know there are crafted landing zones on planets, we saw them in the video. Beyond that I don't recall any information.

Oh well i just got to know this " Guy who took it said he walked for 30-40 minutes before getting that result. " so it doesnt bother me, now. i cant get ased to walk 2 hours back and forth anyway. i thought he might have walked like for 10 min or something.

As gamey as it is, I really like that we can teleport back to our ship. Walking back would have sucked big time.

Lol and you CAN explore the entire planet. nowhere did they say that you can explore the entire planet SEAMLESSLY. If you even paid attention to the leak, you would have seen the
boundary warning gives you the option to use your map and transition to the next 'tile' on the planet on foot, or to go back to your ship and use the ship to do it.

so where exactly is the lie? you can explore the planet, you just need to do it area by area and from what the leaker themselves said, each 'area or tile' of the planets surface is probably larger than skyrims entire map if you consider when you land, your ship is likely at a more central location on the tile rather than its edge. So it took the leaker 40 mins to walk from the CENTER of the area to an edge in a straight line....that's an immense playable area right there.

and of course each planet likely has hundreds if not thousands of those 'tiles' that encompass it. pretty dark big if you ask me!

the dev who runs it clearly said "if you see a mountain you can go there, and if you see another thing at the horizon, you can go there to". then another one said you can walk freely " ROUND " the planet..

Though,, i also got to know this guy Walked for 50 min to get that pop up. thats 2 hours to get to there and back. "straight line". now 360 degrees and you have over 10 hours of exploration to see the whole "square".. so i dont mind it anymore.

I THOUGHT HE WALKED MAYBE 10 MINUTES!..
so all is fine. <3

only limit on exploration is oxygen.

And tiles which is to accomodate evil consoles.
