Starfield
Space trucker
I decided that I would play the role of a space trucker.
Will I be able to transport my cargo between inhabited planets and sell the cargo?
Can I list them in lots at a fixed price or does the deal happen immediately?
How does the price change with the quantity of goods sold? Do NPCs have an infinite wallet or a real one, which is replenished from some background income?
NPCs participate in the economy of the world? That is, they themselves fly between planets with cargo that can be robbed?
Is it possible to arrange a shortage of goods in the local system and, thanks to this, it is profitable to sell it at an inflated price?

They confirmed goods will have a fixed price, and I've seen that npcs have a fixed amount of credits on them
All worthy questions my space trucking brother.

You missed the most important one though, will I bill able to adorn my space truck with mud flaps featuring a certain specific silhouette?
There was mention of cargo missions but what they entail is anyone's guess.
我看到的某些信息里,一开始玩家就欠某家银行的钱,然后开始漫漫还贷路。不知道能不能抢劫那家银行。
I watched a couple videos today that broke down the info we've got so far and yes you can do all that stuff.

My plan is similar, I'm building a ship buisiness and hope to ship my products to various systems. The really cool part is we can setup resource extraction bases and man them with NPCs so they're fully automated. Love that!

Yes you can but the economy is not dynamic unfortunately (crossed fingers a modder will make it happen) where it can fluctuate randomly and each system would have its own economy, I'm very disappointed Starfield won't have this.

But there will have board missions and you can sell your own materials from a planet to another or even systems.

NPCs don't have an infinite wallet from what I've read, but eventually they will replenish their cash flow which is a good thing, otherwise it'd be unrealistic and way too easy to become rich which would break the fun.
Oh I should correct, there is a skill that increases how much you get selling stuff- But they confirmed there is no market fluctuation.
None of the rest of the stuff you mentioned is ingame as far as I am aware either
There are booths you can setup with shops at outposts and cities where you can sell your goods based on economic activities in that system.
The original Space Truckers, Deep Purple, don't mention anything about economic matters - it's all about rockin' round the solar system!

i wanna horn -- fa-fa choo-choo before takeoff :steamhappy:
I wonder if I can carry 'human cargo'. I know, I know it's despicable, but, I remember my slave trading days in Frontier Elite back in the 90's. Good times! 🤣
You can attempt to buy low and sell high, but as others have mentioned, the economy is fixed and will not fluctuate with supply and demand. This is one of the many reasons why I caution against comparing the game to space combat and trading sims. I think some who go into it expecting that kind of experience just with added roleplaying elements, may be disappointed.

Think of it as Bethesda RPG first, space game second. That's my advice. Space is the setting, and a lot of things come along with that setting that aren't in other Bethesda games, and which will bear a resemblance to other space games. But it's not a space combat and trading sim.

That said, there will be contraband that you can conceal and try to smuggle.

I'm very disappointed with the fact that the economy is static and playing the trucker won't be as fun as it should be.
