What background are you using in your first Starfield Playthrough?

With the advantages of the backgrounds and what they have to offer, and of what we know so far, what backgrounds do you think you'll be starting with? Granted that the rest have yet to be announced and we know so little.

For me I'm starting with Ronin, I'm a bit of a weeaboo and Japanophile.

If possible I'd choose one that focuses on the Xenosociology Skill. Which'll probably winds up being either the Beast Hunter or Professor Background. But who knows... only 6 Backgrounds thus far are known in detail afaik.

Starting as as Cylon.

Cyber Runner is the only background that will let you get better loot off the bat.
Since you will be able to hack locked doors/chests, and maybe even pickpocket.

All the other backgrounds just give you like 10% better damage or healing- Fundamentally useless- If I shoot something, it WILL DIE, 10% is meaningless.

But, yeah most backgrounds are unknown, but I doubt they will allow you to as quickly get better loot than a lockpicking background.

Depends entirely on what they all are. All I know for certain is, I won't be choosing it based on any sort of meta or tangible benefit. I don't meta-game. I roleplay.

I'll choose a background once we know what all of the possible backgrounds are. No point in picking one before that.
