When Starfield was announced the fanbase was pretty vocal about not wanting mp anything in it. There's a reason multiplayer mods never really get any traction.
If you want a co-op space sim Elite Dangerous and NMS have that. Bethesda, itself, specialises in singleplayer games.
again, didn't say PVP
didn't say PVP
i am 40 and played lots of solo game, so you are wrong there
also if you remember secret of mana was a solo game, but it was also coop if you had friends, you've also had other 2 player games but beat them all was normal to have multi otherwise its borring.
i don't imagine it like that, the bigger the game, the more space you've got to fill so coop (PVE) is a way to fill it and make it more fun, because AI compagnon have a limit, and when game are suppose to be play has a team, i don't think it is so hard to imagine it with other playes, but again no PVP
we are talking about virtual game, i don't see your point here
and i have it, played solo, and enjoy having friend log in and beat the crap out of pirate
yes some game are made for solo and better that way when you play a hero that is alone;
link, samu, mario, megaman, snake, sheppard
but when you are suppose to be part of a group, being able to have your friend play with you is the same has having an AI team.
yes when you play PVP, there is always a way to find and cheat, and that sucks, but if you read like i said again and again, i was not talking about PVP but PVE, so no 100 different player with you
if you read before i aint from the younger generation, i am starting slowly like the rest of us to be part of the older one, and again i played lots of solo game, first one if were on dos and windows 3.1, but you have to live with the advancement of tech, so yes i consider game nowaday to be able to have more life should have a coop so you can play with a group of friend ( not server with 1000 people)
star citizen is exaclty the point where i wanted to go, i played it, i even played it with friends, but that game has no live, everything is pre built, no story of fun stuff to do
i keep talking about being able to have friends play with you is because once you complet the game solo, it aint more fun to play until you forget your previous choice in game or choose a different path.
those game nowadays are starting to look gorgeous and you should be able to play them again and again, and doing so....with a buddy is way more fun
That's not advancement, though... If it's an RPG, the content does not miraculously change with other people involved... It's still the same content... You just now have some random person talking in your ear while you trying to talk to NPC's... You've got all the same issues as you do with single player games, just with other people involved...
How does having other people playing with you suddenly change the content?
Just tack in some coop pve, It wouldn't affect the solo game at all.
Except for the development time and work needed to implement it, balance it (as game balance would need to adapt to whether you're playing solo, or in groups to ensure it's not too easy in groups) and changes would need to be made to how players interact with NPC's and quests...
But yeah, otherwise, it won't affect the solo game at all... /facepalm
You do understand how absolutely ridiculous that is, right? Add in coop, so modders can play with it, and then tell people Bethesda are not gonna support a feature they added? People would lose their frikken minds and demand Bethesda not only support the feature, but also add more coop content...
No... It absolutely would affect the singleplayer experience... There's no way it wouldn't... Either directly, by having to alter the flow of content to support coop gameplay, or indirectly by diverting development from single player exclusive content...
You're being incredibly naive and obtuse if you think otherwise...
Let it be Singleplayer and with mods. Which BGS are known for.
The irony is that Bethesda delivered exactly what they promised... A survival-light, open-world, sandbox RPG, set in the Fallout universe... Anyone paying attention would have seen that this was clearly what 76 was always going to be... Hell, it was widely compared to Rust and ARC before release...
The problem was that people assumed it would be FO4.5 (a traditional Bethesda RPG), but with coop, and then claimed Bethesda "lied" when the players disappointed themselves with false assumptions...
