tl;dr - there's been a bunch of $70 games already, and more coming.
Get used to it I am afraid, this is the new standard price for new major games going forward, every new game going forward on pretty much every major platform increased there new AAA game prices by $10.00. Yes it does suck for us.
You might be better off subscribing to Game Pass and play the Microsoft Store version if you want to not pay the full price of the game, for the loss of modding the game.
It’ll be $50 with a Steam key starting next week.
The cost of making games going up is a total myth. Spending way too much money on art teams and licenses these days. There's an endless supply of programmers out there who will take the job for less as well.
