AUD$120? are you kidding me?
i swear this exact thing happened with spider-man when it came to PC. whether you think the game should be worth $70 or not is irrelevant since $70 US is not $120 AU i'm actually sick and tired of this happening and no one calling out this bull just because we're not the US. either price it at $105-$100 (closer to what $70USD actually is) or just don't sell what is going to be a mess of a game like it always is.

Agree. $130 NZD for base game..
I guess to be fair there is a lot of extra shipping involved to get those bits of data through the internet over to this side of the world :RTeam:

Well, you still have better than I have. For me I would have to pay $85 (USD) for this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game if I would want to buy it on steam.

Remember that the US prices don't include tax, but the Australian price does include GST. Once you include that, as well as some margin for currency conversion (because that's not free), $120 is about right as a conversion of $70 US.

It's still ridiculously overpriced, but the usual culprit of "more expensive in Australia" isn't really to blame this time.

Even more in Poland. Game is around 10€ more expensive than in Western Europe. Roughly 80 euro wtf.

In a way you're right gst included it would be more than base conversion but i refuse to believe that theres a $15 dollar sales tax on a digital download.

The extra $10 is thanks to your own govt considering electronic downloads "foreign imports".

how's GMG pricing in AU?
gabriele83 Jun 11, 2023 @ 2:41pm
Agreed, price is insane, this is the kind of price that console players should expect, not PC players.
Consoles are sold at loss because then they milk customers till the very last drop with overpriced games, accessories, services and subscriptions, leave that crap on consoles please.
I'm not in a hurry, will wait for a price drop till it will reach the point I'll deem to be good, and meanwhile I'll avoid being a paying beta tester.

Another overpriced game, $120 AUD is just beyond a joke now. $70 US is $100 AUD, stop trying to scam us.

We've forgotten how good we had it when new games were $80 in AU and NZ. The good old days. Yet, yanks complain about spending $70 for a game in 2023.

Not all of us. Those of us who spent $50 on new releases in the 80s when we were making $3/hr actually realize that inflation in gaming was bound to happen sooner or later as the consumer base levelled off.
