spiders in game

Hi folks does anybody know if there will be spiders anywhere in the game as my son is very bad arachnophobia or will he have to wait for a mod like Skyrim ?

The game is an 18 rating so if you son is 18 or over, he's hopefully able to cope with spiders on the screen. I'm a terrible arachnophobe too, but images on a screen are nothing like the big house spider that I woke up to crawling on my chest under the covers in a farmhouse 10 years ago. Still gives me nightmares.

We have no idea what the full extent of the creatures will be in game.
There is a spiderlike type of creature shown in the deep dive footage I guess.

Yeah I'm not a fan of Arachnids either after being bitten on the toe by a false black widow a few weeks ago. Hurt like hell and swelled my leg up.

I hope they make the alien wildlife recognizable as alien spiders, deer, canines or insects and don't blend them too much. 9 times out of 10 when developers go full on alien the designs look... goofy, outright off-putting, and of course fake/unbelievable

So far people have found 6 different alien lifeforms that resemble spiders closely enough to trigger a response from people with arachnophobia. Unfortunately there isn't currently a way to turn this off in a setting.

Just find / make a good heavy weapon and have stocked enough ammo to nuke it into orbit.

Probably. Most fantasy/Sci-Fi games have spiders.

Spiders are actually very chill bros. They clean up the pests, mostly stay out of sight and they even set up bug catchers that you don't even have to pay for.

Then you start screaming and swinging and spiders are all like: Don't taze me, bro!

Based on the released video one of the creatures was called a spider wasp. For the most part a creepier than average spider if you could manage that.

fun real life story: I had a spider's nest in my car that I was Not aware of then on a very long road trip, i'm driving eighty on the highway, and spiders start crawling all over me
