I like the NASA-punk style that they are going with. It gives more of a connection to our current timeline.
But I also like plain cereal.
Besides, there will more than likely be Mods that will change that if you so desire.
If you are expecting a significant amount of drastically different design styles and appearances, your reaction will be certainly self-inflicted.
Not really, the different factions also have unique looks ranging from the old west to super futeristic. Watch the deep dive. There's a lot more than just the NASA-Punk style.
they'll never be able to appeal to all people all the time unfortunately.
I like the looks of this game. I think Starfields snapfit modular ship design works best with this kind of grounded sci-fi style they're going for.
Also, Freestar ships look noticeably different, having more rugged look, just as their capital - Akila city.
Maybe there will be other unique faction designs, so we will get our fill of Nostromos, Sereneties and Unreliables.
The thing that virtually everyone else likes and finds notable bothers you. That's sad. I like Kellogg's Raisin Bran. Though if someone else is making breakfast, I'd always go for a big bowl of Quaker Oatmeal with honey.
This. Right here.
