Only the Head gear has its own slot
I'm confident though we will have at least casual clothes to collect and of course the space suits we use most of the time adventuring. I've even seen a legendary one that appeared to have RNG attributes.
That being said, these things can be greatly mitigated if there are QOL features like hiding helms and even more so if there is a huge, huge variety, which I would very much expect there to be.

What if that church likes that kind of thing? Might be walking into more than you realize.
Yeah seems we have at least three we know of so far. A casual set of clothes that show up where the suit isn't needed. The space suits. And the jetpack/backpack. Some have assumed the helmet and space suit might be separate such that you can mix and match but I'm unsure if that is true or not. So that would be four different slots.
Yeah I noticed that as well. The weapons have massive amounts of customization. They may have put all their efforts there and made armor less of a focus.
Then its the right time to Set your hopes down and think that there will be only Oufit Sets to use so that you will Not Hate after the Release :)
I've played most space games. Customizing the character isn't very common in them. It's fairly recent. Seems unlikely though that Bethesda wouldn't allow customization. If the only thing they do offer is mainly spacesuits there is likely going to be a lot of them.
however, it could be that it's just so obvious that iindividual items would be ingame that they didn't bother to show it in action
Honestly I'm not that concerned. Doesn't really make that much sense to focus on armor if the space suit is such an important part. They showed a ton of guns and modifications possible per gun. It was off the charts on the weapons.
So I'm good. There is a ton of customization on weapons and likely something related to suits and running around. More than any other space game I've played by far. And a good start. And we can customize our ships which is like our space armor.
