Sound bugs
Anyone else noticing sound bugs? Music clipping out and in, sounds cutting off and generally sound mixing being real bad (pistol is really loud vs the first two rifles?)

Thanks for the report. I'll bring this up with the dev team.

Haven't they had one year to fix this?

During combat I get 3 different soundtracks at the same time which is kinda annoying.

The sound is the worst thing about the game, absolutely untested and nobody cared during development. Its all over the place.

Magically your gun can be 2x as loud when you go somewhere, your suits audio is loud and annoying with no way to turn it off and the enemy feedback sound is also SO LOUD when you shoot someone it feels like you shoot your ear. UGH.

2024

All of the sound issues still exist.

Especially love how audio doesn't fade out, it just stops playing when you pass the radius of the audio playing. I've heard better audio in cheap indie games.

If reviewers (Digital Foundry is a good example) were not playing with garbage tier headphones, they would've complained about ♥♥♥♥ audio in this remaster as well. But alas, here we are.

Great job! That was sarcasm, it’s almost 2025 and the audio is still cutting out. I was playing original Crysis on my Xbox and the experience, short of the resolution, was better than what I’m getting on pc from the remaster. I bought the remasters when they first came out, was so bad at launch I couldn’t even play the game.
The remaster is basically the same version of the game as the Xbox 360 version with updated graphics, it shouldn’t be this buggy.

Let's face it, audio is the most ignored part of every game in existence. Unless the game is specifically all about music and ♥♥♥♥, no developer cares.

For these people, visuals are all that matters. So fixing audio is never going to be a priority issue. Most gamers won't even notice with their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ headphones anyway. :lunar2019piginablanket:

I noticed this as well, just to test played the original PC version first level, until the frozen boat cutscene, no audio problems whatsoever, also got reminded, again, how so much better the faces look on the original. :(

It's 2025 and they still didn't fix it. :-D Pistol sounds ok, it sounds like gun shots, all other wapons are bugged, it sounds too silent like if half of that sound effect is missing. Pistol is like hand cannon and rifles and shotgun is like pew pew pew, it sounds totally bugged.

Am I the only one that had totally underwhelming sound during the beginning of the Assault level, when you come in on a helicopter with other troops/Psycho that turns into a "D-Day Leaving the Boat" type fiasco? There's supposed to bunch of explosions happening all around, jets fly close overhead. Screen shake is happening.

It's like almost nothing is happening in the sound department. I'm triple checking now and the majority of the explosions are making 0 sound. The occasional explosion sounds I do hear are super tiny and distant and muffled, like coming from the whole other side of the island type sounding. My controller isn't vibrating at all except for two explosions either, that were silent. All 4 jets make no sound, being the two pairs that fly over. Considering how loud the helicopter sounded in the previous level , which sounded like it was right next to my head even though I could not make it out through the trees and figured it'd have opened fire if it was close enough with line of sight.

This is my first time playing , I missed out back in the day. Was enjoying the game a lot, and hadn't noticed the sound being buggy yet. But not having played other versions I have nothing to compare it against.

This seemed like it was going to be a fairly bad ass little assault here with the squad, but it really fell flat with whatever is going on in the audio department. Was just curious if anybody else had this happen.

I think we've already established that they did not care a bit about the audio in this game, not during development, not after the release.

Audio is just garbage, in this and even Crysis 2 (though more in this Remastered version). I haven't replayed the third in years and ditched this to play Crysis 2 instead, so I'll have to see if Crysis 3 is the same or not.

Pretty much the state of gaming for years. New developers who don't care much for their craft busy "remastering" older games as lazily as possible. Is anyone surprised they haven't been able to make a new Crysis game for years now?

I think you're right.
My first impression of the game is that either I have the commander shouting into my ear, or my team mate whispering shyly x')

How could you mess up the sound in a remaster where only the graphics got better? The sound is interrupted, the volume of shots from the weapon is different. In the Russian version of the voice acting, the characters sometimes talk as if they are competing in tongue twisters. When you enter any building on the beach, the sounds of nature disappear, as if you are in a vacuum. But as soon as you leave the building, the sounds appear. Thanks, but it's better to play the original version.
