Haven't they had one year to fix this?
Magically your gun can be 2x as loud when you go somewhere, your suits audio is loud and annoying with no way to turn it off and the enemy feedback sound is also SO LOUD when you shoot someone it feels like you shoot your ear. UGH.
All of the sound issues still exist.
Especially love how audio doesn't fade out, it just stops playing when you pass the radius of the audio playing. I've heard better audio in cheap indie games.
If reviewers (Digital Foundry is a good example) were not playing with garbage tier headphones, they would've complained about ♥♥♥♥ audio in this remaster as well. But alas, here we are.
The remaster is basically the same version of the game as the Xbox 360 version with updated graphics, it shouldn’t be this buggy.
Let's face it, audio is the most ignored part of every game in existence. Unless the game is specifically all about music and ♥♥♥♥, no developer cares.
For these people, visuals are all that matters. So fixing audio is never going to be a priority issue. Most gamers won't even notice with their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ headphones anyway.
It's like almost nothing is happening in the sound department. I'm triple checking now and the majority of the explosions are making 0 sound. The occasional explosion sounds I do hear are super tiny and distant and muffled, like coming from the whole other side of the island type sounding. My controller isn't vibrating at all except for two explosions either, that were silent. All 4 jets make no sound, being the two pairs that fly over. Considering how loud the helicopter sounded in the previous level , which sounded like it was right next to my head even though I could not make it out through the trees and figured it'd have opened fire if it was close enough with line of sight.
This is my first time playing , I missed out back in the day. Was enjoying the game a lot, and hadn't noticed the sound being buggy yet. But not having played other versions I have nothing to compare it against.
This seemed like it was going to be a fairly bad ass little assault here with the squad, but it really fell flat with whatever is going on in the audio department. Was just curious if anybody else had this happen.
Audio is just garbage, in this and even Crysis 2 (though more in this Remastered version). I haven't replayed the third in years and ditched this to play Crysis 2 instead, so I'll have to see if Crysis 3 is the same or not.
Pretty much the state of gaming for years. New developers who don't care much for their craft busy "remastering" older games as lazily as possible. Is anyone surprised they haven't been able to make a new Crysis game for years now?
"Crysis is in development, development is in crysis", huh? ]
Still there^^
