TL/DR: Worth it at a discounted price?

I bought this game on sale for 5 dollars and I'd say it's worth that much, but 17 dollars is too steep in my opinion due to bugs and how stale the game play loop gets in a short amount of time.
You can either play challenge mode, where you are given a store and must reach a certain rating in a certain amount of days, or freeplay mode, where you get to build your own store and play at your own pace. You are repeating the same actions (feed, water, pet, play, clean) over and over to keep the pets in your hotel happy so their owners write you a good review when they pick them up. All of the pets have different interactions in terms of petting and play, which I like. Dogs and cats can have food avoidances or allergies, so you have to feed them certain types of food which I also like.
As for bugs, it takes a long time to get to interact with pets when you try to. I've also noticed that when my cats are hungry/thirsty, instead of eating/drinking from their full bowls, they just sleep. This causes them to lose happiness, but I have literally no control over it, which is frustrating. Other reviews also say that the caretakers you can hire, even the highest level ones, can feed your pets food they're allergic to, which just defeats the purpose of the caretakers and prevent the player from implementing automation. This essentially means that unless you REALLY like doing the limited actions currently available with the pets, the game gets boring in a short amount of time.
All of the animal types have 2 or less ways to pet/play with them. I would like to see more ways to play with the pets added, different food for the rabbits, fish, and turtles, and more pets added to the game. I also think they need to put more work into polishing the game, fixing bugs, etc. It feels very repetitive and clunky for 17 dollars, but for 5 it's a fun little time waster.
