I got gamepass awhile ago since I couldn't find new games to buy on the steam summer sale.

Gamepass / Microsoft Store. Anything to get the hell away from Steam Input.

Steam for me, because I don't like that MS store games;
- Do that weird mounting/files locking thing. This could or could not make it more difficult or not ideal to mod
- I don't know if it will be the case but all GamePass games I've played encrypt save files so I can't freely make backups, move them or modify them
- I personally prefer to have Steam features without workarounds and have achievements on Steam itself
- The game is very long, so it's possible that I'd need to be subscribed for several months to finish it if I played it via GamePass. I also prefer to have games permanently, to not feel pressured and play it at my pace and also to revisit games any time I want

Steam Input works perfectly fine, never had any issues with it. It stays better then the crap store that microsoft store is. The app is just plain hideous.

No, it doesn't. It has broken countless games, Tales of Arise didn't work at launch with gamepad input because of it. You had to actually crack the game and run it through the Goldberg Steam Client emulator.

Likewise, Steam Input is the cause of this problem in NieR: Replicant. I had to patch that out of the game to fix the problem and to this day, the problem is still there if you run the unmodified game.

Prices in some regions I checked match the same ones listed for Soul Hackers 2 on Steam https://steamdb.info/app/1777620/ , which is a 60USD game the same as Royal will be
