Very few people are experiencing issues, and the ones that are can usually blame their hardware.

The Switch port is a very nice port. Some muddy textures and a bit of object pop in though.

Ive been getting fantastic 60fps performance on Steam Deck at native resolution by turning off depth of field and changing AA to FXAA with 3.5 hours of battery life to boot. Not sure what issues you are talking about fam.

My game has been running great. 60 FPS, etc, etc, etc. Yeah, I can't use the online portion of the game due to having it on gamepass and getting the error due to it, but other than that, no issues. I don't even have top of the line specs either (GTX 1070, i7-7700k, 16gigs of RAM, etc). The only main issue I had was no dualshock 4 inputs but a mod fixed that so no problem now.

I left DOF on and the AA is still set for SMAA. I set it for 720p, because 800p letterboxes it to 16:9 anyway and you get strangeness in the UI. I set the refresh and FPS to 40, which it stays locked at, pulls between 5 and 10 watts, which nets me 5-6 hours of battery life.

I'm playing on Steam Deck using 1080p, looks so much better even on the 720p screen, SMAA, DOF off, locked 40fps and 4.5 hours of battery life.

Most people are not experiencing major issues. Also the Switch version only runs at 720p30 docked or 540p30 handheld and has worse textures and lower audio quality.

I don't see how a downgraded version of the game could ever be considered the "best" port.

Yeah, play on PC if you got it for free, or Switch if you're going to pay for it (ideally on a Switch OLED).
