Switch vs PC
HI all! Which version should I buy? Graphic resolution will obviously be higher on the PC, but the graphics on Persona games don't typically require real world fidelity. I don't care about Denuvo, so that's not an issue for me. PC via Steam will have achievements. Switch will allow me to play any time, anywhere (and I don't plan to buy a Steam Deck).

Thoughts? Anything else I should consider?

Have fun with a 41GB game reduced to 12.5.

Not to mention that the switch stays subpar. Quite alot of games can't seem to hold a steady 30 fps. Heck some native ninty games cannot even.

I don't play on switch but emulator, i can't compare for now but i bet the difference between switch and pc version will be un noticeable as emulator support Vulkan nicely and i can emulate 4k

First it's 14,5 and then ? The content is the same.

hmm, this sub has devolved into salt. The salt will drown us all. The salt then will break fourth and then spread to the other subs. We're doomed. But also, how do you guys feel about xbox?

XBox Console no qualms as games on the Xbox work on Windows 10/11 PCs and vice versa, so you get 2 games for the price of 1.

Lots of criticism for the Switch port here, all fair as Switch hardware obviously is not in the same class as modern PC hardware, but let's also see what the RpgSite review posted here earlier mentioning 500p to 600p handheld, concludes about the Switch version:

"There are certainly better ways to play Persona 5 Royal if you are purely looking for visual fidelity and performance, but the Nintendo Switch conversion is worth serious praise. Due to how much easier it is to play than any of my other systems, and how small the cuts were, this could easily be my go-to system for future replays of one of my favorite games."

Switch OLED's a far superior machine than Steam Deck. You want a screen more color accurate than a 2000's flip phone when playing games. Steam Deck doesn't even cover 70% of sRGB.
I used to be enamored with the oled screen of switch till I realized resplution, fps, performance, and feel of controls (switch handheld controls suck) matter far more.
Same resolution as Steam Deck, slightly higher DPI. Also the Switch is slightly smaller than Steam Deck, so win-win :)

The content is not the same. The textures and audio have been reduced and compressed to all hell.

The content as in, the gameplay, is THE. SAME.
Not everything is about graphics and quality.

If as you point out the gameplay content is the same, graphics and quality is the key consideration when choosing which version to purchase, along with price (same), portability (same if you own a Steam Deck), choice of storefronts (lol @ Nintendo), and features like cloud support (free with Steam.)

Of course if Denovo pisses you off that much then buy the Nintendo version (though I am guessing piracy is involved.) But don't pretend the versions are the same.
