This game seems to me like a very good alternative to Final Fantasy. i found the game to be fun

Kills time and is very easy to get sucked in to endlessly playing

I jumped into this after the first DMC collab, I was previously playing Bleach: Brave Souls but lost interest in it after like 5 years. So with this one, it's been on and off.

With that out of the way, The gameplay is alright. Not really a fan of having to drag the stick to move, feels awkward, but that's not really a big deal since you don't really seem to do that a whole lot, most of the game is just spamming out your skills, things could be different in those super endgame bosses, they seem to be a bit more focused on proper team setups but the amount of time it takes to get there makes my first statement relevant for most of an average players playtime.

Pricing seems to be normal from the gacha games I've played which means don't spend money. $50 CAD for a single 10x pull? yikes. You do get a lot of free currency, which is also the norm, So if you have experience with these types of games and know when to hold out draws to go for specific picks, then you shouldn't be fine, there's a pity currency to let you get what you're looking for, which is nice.

Your main progression is not really levelling characters- it's material upgrades, most new units will receive great passives making them carries for all the old content and lots of the new stuff, but older units will be near useless. Arks grant character passives which give a majority of your character's power, but the only way to obtain them is through draws. Equipment is the other power source which you get through grinding mats for godforge or Ether rewards from maxing the Ether stat on an Ark which gives things that vary in power, from useless stuff that's slightly better than world map shop items to S tier, always relevant (Hi Trishula)

If you do want to try this, do so on mobile or whatever your non-primary way of playing is, to at least see what it's like. When you're ready to commit, I highly recommend checking out the rerolling guides that exist on Steam and the English LC Tier List, if you don't, you'll be kicking yourself later down the line.
