Same here. After 1st cutscene. Black screen and then crash.

I had same problem initially but then got the game to run. First thing I did was whitelist the exe in my antivirus incase that was the problem. After doing that it did load but took ages to do so. So not sure if that was just a coincidence or not. I installed on HDD and not an SSD so I think that contributed to a very long load time. It could be the game is verifying or unpacking files or something on the first run and it just takes really a long time but not sure. Game has since crashed on me in the arcade basement.

I just DL the demo today & had this issue as well. Seems I have found a possible workaround:
I couldn't get past the UE5 logo w/o locking up b/c 100% CPU. Seems the game is not using all available cores on my setup. I added the -USEALLAVAILABLECORES to the "Launch Options" in the games properties submenu (in the general tab). Hope this helps!

Finished a good chunk of the game, but now it's just a permanent black screen after the stupid Intel video.

I have a black screen on the hospital level after the prison level. I see a cut-scene of the hospital and then the screen goes black. I rebooted the PC later on and continued the game and the same thing happened. Up until then I had assumed the graphics card had overheated.

In win settings go to updte ect. then advanced option and set allow other updates then win

it helped for me no crashes anymore since yesterday as i changed it
