White electronics should be left in the 90s, especially thing you'll be constantly touching like input devices, I'm sure Sony deliberately choose to bundle the white DualSense with the PS5 just because they knew everyone was gonna spend extra on the black one because the white gets dirty af from nothing constantly, I have to clean in every time before and after use and obviously I only use it with clean hands, store it in a case when not in use, its a dirt magnet. Imagine how bad the white deck will look in a few years when all the dirt just get into the plastic and becomes discolored and yellowed.
Still if feel him, I wanted to the original Limited Edition OLED that actually looked good but I wasn't allowed to have it as I'm outside the US, thanks Valve.

My ROG Ally is white and it still looks decent. But I guess anything will get dirty if you never clean it. Black devices simply give you an excuse not to clean.

I did speak to stea: support and they do not know or have any idea if steam deck dock will be sold in Australia. It is such a shame … Come on Gabe, let it be sold in Australia

White is a limited edition…. Isn’t it. I handled mine with gloves not leave any dirt. My black one , lcd screen, devolved graphical issue and it is out of warranty. I will buy a new oled one

Is this still available by any chance? It said limited edition/stock. Sale ended right on 11/29 11:59 PM and that wasn't stated on the page. There's still a buy now for the white version under the Steam OLED page. Was wondering if this is a bug as I was looking forward to buying this?

It should be available to buy until it's out of stock.

I ended up ordering a JSAUX HB1201S(clear, yuk! no black available on Amazon) for the dual output (DP & HDMI) which should run my WFH laptop also (tax deductions). CBF waiting another 2 years for Valve to make a decision for Aussies. The JSAUX seems to have plenty of inputs for what I'll need, plus running off my 130W laptop charger should be mint.

ETA, Dec 23rd. Should be a fun Christmas on the telly when I get bored with rumballs and choc almonds.

We didn't get a "Sale" price. It was release day for Aussies mate, so we paid probably more for the thing than the USA. AU$1099 today is US$710.45. I'd be curious to know the difference in Aussie-tax.

For me, it was base price was $679.99 + Maine tax (which is ~0.055% [therefore: $36.36]) = $716.35

Finally was able to buy it. Just for it not to be able to be bought out of my cart. Depression...

Aussie tax is 10% , GST. …$109l9 was including 10% GST ( goods and services tax)
