Steam Deck

Steam Deck

Why Steam Deck not support new games???
I noticed that the Steam deck does not support most modern games such as: Senua's Saga: Hellblade II, Black Myth: Wukong, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Horizon Forbidden West, Supraland, etc... but games with similar system requirements like God of War: Ragnarök or Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered are fully compatible. It saddens me that consoles with such great potential do not allow development in AAA projects. I look forward to future support for all these projects!

The Steam Deck isn't "supporting" anything. It has fixed hardware. Some (most) game developers make sure their games work on hardware with that level of performance; some don't.

By the word "supporting" I mean the category "Veryfed" and "playable" I want to draw attention to the problem that developers of new games are not interested in optimizing games for the Steam deck. Thank you for your feedback, I understand your opinion.

If you're referring to the "Steam Deck Verified" badge, that's just saying whether or not Valve has tested that game with it's own criteria or not. Most untested games work fine. Even many "unsupported" games work fine since Proton has had updates since that game was last tested.

The "Steam Deck Verified" badge is nice for those new to the Steam Deck and uncertain about what to play, but everyone usually will want to branch out eventually. Check out ProtonDB[www.protondb.com] for a more crowdsourced look at compatibility. Also just pulling up Steam Deck gameplay video of whatever game on Youtube is invaluable and will not only show you how the game runs, but also what settings to use.

Do note that testing games is ongoing. Newer titles will be tested eventually, and other titles that were already tested will need to undergo re-testing as Proton continues to develop and improve.

Thank you very much for your answer, these graphics settings will help me make the game more comfortable! I know about ProtonDB, but in my opinion it also does not always accurately assess the compatibility of the game. It is simply much easier when game developers make native support like in Cyberpunk 2077 or Elden Ring. Thank you very much for the settings guide, I gave you a reward in the form of Steam points!
