Steam Deck

"Last Played" sorting option in Library should be changed to "Recent Activity"
On the desktop Steam client, there is a "Recent Activity" sorting button that sorts games based on when they were last launched, or (if they have never been launched) by the date they were added to the library.

Gaming Mode on Steam Deck is missing this sorting option on the Library screen. There is "Last Played" which only sorts based on when they were last launched, but any newly purchased unplayed games always go to the very end of the Library's list.

The Home screen on the Deck does sort by recent activity, but it only applies for 20 games. If I buy 40 games during the next Steam sale before having a chance to play any of them, then 20 new games will be hidden at the bottom of the library. For those of us with thousands of unplayed Steam games, these will be exceedingly difficult to locate without directly searching for them by name.

I want the list like in the Desktop client. Can't find the same thing in Steam Deck UI.

In the Desktop Library you can toggle both "Sort by recent activity" and "Show only ready to play games" (both separately and at the same time). I can scroll my entire library of 6,000+ games quickly there in 1 second. They're all there, and the order matches the order I purchased or last played them. I can't find the same functionality anywhere on Deck Ui. Seems like a basic important thing to get right. It's like my library is missing games, but it isn't actually. Have to search or something. Can't browse the same way.
Kind of sucks.

For example, there were some games you didn't install yet that got pushed too far to the right, just off of the Home page. You go all the way to the right. Ok there's a button "View more in your Library". So you go there to All Games. But the ones that would have shown up there next that just got pushed off to the right which you were expecting to find, aren't there. And for that matter, the one's you were just browsing aren't there anymore either. It's like "where'd they go?". You flip back and forth between "All Games" and "Installed" with the L1/R1 buttons, confused why they seem to be the same, missing the other recent games that weren't installed, in the "All Games" view. You press the Y button to Sort but there is no option that helps. Press the X button to filter but there is no option to help there either.

On the home where it has the first few of them in the correct order, it scrolls through those few of them so slowly, one by one.

In Desktop you can get a view where it shows just a list of names without logo images, so more can fit on the screen at the same time.

Then you go back to the Home screen and you have to scroll back slowly to the left one by one to get back to your current game

This bothers me too, please implement this change to be more in line with the desktop client. It's really hard to keep track of all those little games you purchased but didn't get around to installing and playing yet. And the deck is such a perfect platform to play those on...
+1, I need this!

The fact that this still doesn't exist for feature parity with desktop is actually hilarious

Change this valve!
Also add the option to sort your games better

They did add an option to sort by "date added to library," which is good enough I think, even though it's not the combined last played/date added sorting option that the desktop client has.
