Bluetooth Wake up with controller not working
So far i have not managed to get it working, using a last gen normal xbox one controller, non elite or anything fancy, just the stock one.

Tested it handheld, having it paired wirelessly, then going to put it to slep via the power menu, and then turning on the controller again, nothing.
same story when its docked, wont work.

using a 512 (swapped to 2tb) Oled Deck on stable 3.5.7

I can confirm on OLED Deck on Stable 3.5.7 my Xbox Series X and Series X Elite 2 controllers will not wake the system up, but my PS5 dual sense will.

Same here, 512 OLED, Xbox Series X controller, official dock. Doesn't wake.

It did work when I first got the deck, it seems to have stopped working in one of the updates or after I re-imaged it.

ah good that you mention it, i reimaged mine aswell, i swapped the 512gb for a 2tb corsair one, so we both have used the same recovery image im 99% certain.

maybe its an oversight on the recovery image? allthough so far i havent heard about a single person who got it to work with an xbox controller

For people who enjoy docking their Steam Deck, the Steam Deck OLED's ability to wake from Bluetooth with controllers is another really nice addition. With the release firmware update, I've tested this working with a latest-gen Xbox controller, and with a PlayStation 4 controller.

The Xbox controller needed a firmware update before it would work; the PlayStation controller worked as-is.

i did the firmware update, it didnt change anything. tried it at first without, and then thought, maybe theres an update and connected it to my win 11 desktop and updated it through the xbox accessory app to the latest one, still doesnt work

Using an updated Xbox series controller, I can get it to work if I forget the controller in Bluetooth settings and connect it again. Waking from controller seems to work after that. However it stops working after a reboot, and I have to forget and connect the controller all over again to get it to work.

I have the OLED Steam deck with latest software (3.5.7) installed and I can't get 'Wake on Bluetooth' to work properly either.

When it's in sleep mode it does boot up when i press the xbox button but only if used within 10 minutes of the deck being put to 'sleep' anymore than 10 minutes when I press the xbox button it then doesn't wake my deck on either docked mode or handheld.

FYI - Xbox Controller is up to date and is the latest xbox controller available.

Exactly the same issue with my OLED steam deck. It's running the image from factory. Xbox controller works great for everything aside from waking the steam deck

Same issue here. Xbox controller fully updated. Won't wake up Switch OLED. Meanwhile dualsense controller just works.

Same issue here. Xbox series x/s controller, works great except does not wake the OLED 1 TB system. Controller fully updated. Tested a switch pro controller which does wake the deck. Hope that Valve can get us a fix for the Xbox controller!

Also just verified that if I forget the controller and then repair it, the Xbox controller works to wake the deck if you don't restart the system. Once restarted the steam deck seems to forget how to allow the Xbox controller to wake it up.

Seeing this issue too. Happens with both my Xbox controllers, doesn’t happen with an 8bitdo.
