Can't add image to icon dut to files not showing in file manager

So was trying to add icons and images to a non steam game that i downloaded from the discovery store to add to my library on my steam deck since it does not come with any images, "Google Chrome". I can't see folders when trying to install icon .png file. I go to /home/deck and after that nothing will populate, none of the files are showing up. I've gone to a few reddit posts and other sites to see if I can find any answers but alot of people seem to have the same problem with no solution. Is there a fix for this? Or maybe a bug that needs to be resolved?

Files and directories that start with a . are hidden by default. You can select "show hidden files" to show them.

For adding icons and artwork for non-Steam games and applications, SGDBoop is the easiest way. Once that's installed, you just go to the Steam Grid Database website and press the button to add the artwork to Steam.
